What's your 7Cups Story? 🍀:D
Hi! I was thinking about 7cups journeys,and how much just joining can change a lot for us (:
—So...I have a question for you! What made you join 7cups,and how did it change you? ✨
Here's a bit of mine: 3 months ago,I joined to try volunteering online. But the listener training completely shifted how I see things!! It made me stop heavily judging others and it turned me in a much calmer,happier person. Plus,the people here made me see humanity in a much more positive way. Thank you so much for keeping this community so awesome!!😭💞
—Now it's your turn! I would love hearing your stories.
Thanks for reading,have an awesome journey!! 🍀:D
@Ednamius
Awww, thanks for sharing your story! We're so happy you're here and found 7 Cups. I'm glad 7 Cups has impacted you so greatly. There really is so many amazing people here. I see 👀 and notice them everyday that I'm about the forums. 😀 I hope you have a great day today.
Of course,thanks to you for replying,it means a lot to me!!! And yup,I agree. People here are amazing indeed. You are too,I notice your cheerful forum posts quite often,and they make me smile!! (: But now i'm really curious,how did you join this community (if you're comfortable sharing)? And I wish the same to you,have a day filled with luck and joy 🍀
@Ednamius I joined 8 years ago. I was in a bad place mentally and was looking for something. I ended up joining realizing that me helping others was actually good for me and made me feel better. I never did get the help I was intentionally seeking because I'm a private person with my feelings. But found help in another way-- a greater way. I just liked it here and liked feeling apart of something great. I ended up leaving and then came back years ago and went full force. Taken self care breaks, did this and that, and just missed beinv back apart of the community. 😀 So I'm here, but the people help keep me here. ❤️
@YourCaringConfidant that's a wholesome story,thank you...and it makes sense,you were going through hard times but you're a reserved person and couldn't get the help you were seeking...so you decided to help others instead... That's so kind,you have a heart made of gold (gold AND cupcakes)!!! I hope to become an experienced listener like you one day 💞 and i'm soo proud of you for finding a way to feel better!! so here's a pixel cupcake for you to cheer that:🧁✨ (ingredients: 7 cups of pink tea,flour,pixels,secret things)... Also,if it's shareable,what do you usually like doing during self-care breaks? O:
@Ednamius Awww, you're too sweet. 🥹 Thank you for thr 🧁!!! 🥰 Your question is easy: when I actually go on self care breaks officially, I love catching up on my sleep! I love my quiet time. I enjoy time with the family and my cat. I have time to just do nothing and think of other things besides 7 Cups. 😀
Of course,you deserved the cupcake!!! Glad you enjoyed it🧁:D And woah,thanks for letting me know!! Sleeping,enjoying quiet time,staying with your family and cat are adorable,kind activities,and they seem really helpful to restore your energy (:
But I usually miss 7Cups a bit during self-care breaks,you don't?😭 also,during those I study,read articles,go for a walk,develope and play minigames,draw,or spend time with my family like you!!
It was awesome exchanging forum comments with you by the way,I really enjoyed it🍀
@Ednamius You're so welcome. Thank you for making such a great post where we can engage. I enjoyed our little exchange, as well! 😀 Hope today is a beautiful day for you. 💚

@Ednamius
Being here enriches my sense of gratitude.

@caringShoulder1357 Woah,that's great,thank you for sharing that!! And awesome quote. I'm unsure about what life's greatest value may be,but I think that caring for eachother is a really important one indeed.
Also,how does staying on 7Cups enrich your sense of gratitude (if it's possible to share)? I'm curious now! :D
@Ednamius
I think that being there for each other is one of our greatest callings.
@Ednamius
I found 7 cups completely by accident.
I was looking at some metal health websites and for somewhere to talk because I was going through a hard time and felt really alone. So I joined as a member.
Now I am a listener because I really want to help other people feel better and help them through hard times because everyone deserves to have someone to talk to especially in the hardest times.
@TheStarsLookNice1124 you have a really awesome username,I like it and I agree with it!! ✨ Also,that's a pretty unique story,thanks for sharing it...You basically used your suffering to bloom and turned it into an opportunity to help others and a great skill? I'm sooo proud of you!!
I think that you can also help extra-well because you know how it feels like to be a member,right? To be honest with you,after becoming a listener,I learned to ask for help,and I tried switching to the member side too sometimes :D
—Either way,how are you feeling lately,has the darkness left you in peace a bit? How does being a helper feel like for you? (ps. I was about to ask you if you want to become listener friends,but you're on the adult side sadly 🥀)
@Ednamius
I noticed there was so much loneliness in the world and because I'm a bubbly person , I wanted to join and become a listener to spread as much kindness as I can 💚🤗

@Amanda84
❤️
@Amanda84 Awww,so you joined to spread kindness? That's a very beautiful goal💚🍀 and you are indeed succeeding in it! I see your forum replies sooo often,and sometimes I see people tagging you and hoping for you to see them too (:
Also, did 7cups change you or were you always this kind? Did it change your life at all? O:
And happy Friday to you too!! I thought it was Thursday lol😭
@Ednamius
I think I was always kind but seven cups made me appreciate the impact we can make, even in one person's life 💚
@Amanda84 You do a wonderful job at doing that! You're such a beautiful person!

I joined the beginning of August because I’m considering a career change. I’ve lived a heavy life and endured a lot of trauma. I think I’m finally at the point where I can give back. I’ve had so much help from others in my recovery and feel it’s time I can help others in their recovery. I thought I should see if I’m able to (emotionally) handle the the mental health field by volunteering. I found 7 Cups on a Google search. It was life changing! It’s only been about 6 weeks and mannnn I’ve changed my total outlook on sooo much ❤️ I was getting to a point where I was disgusted with most people and humanity itself. I was angry all the time. I dreaded talking to anyone at all. So much negativity and hate all around me. 7 Cups has changed my perspective. The community here is amazing ❤️ I’ve never felt so welcomed and supported. It’s uplifting and even on my days I find myself smiling. I absolutely love being a listener. I love being able to help others. I didn’t imagine that this would feel so good and that helping others would greatly help me too. So yes I’m ready to leave a toxic job and jump into a new career because I can do this!💪
I didn’t intend for this to be so long Thank you so much @Ednamius for the prompt to leave this here.
Thank you 7 Cups for being here for me!
