@jesusredeemedme2425 I’m neither super trendy nor completely casual—I have a personal style and always dress for the occasion. If the occasion calls for a "trendy style", I will just add some trendy accessories to my base outfit. Anyway, I do love dressing up and I love fashion ( but not a fan of fast fashion or anything like that)
@jesusredeemedme2425 What type of casual? There's at least 6 different types. 😁🤭
@mytwistedsoul
@azurePond 😊 Apparently some of it seems revolve around footwear? Who knew? I wear sneakers or boots. So I bounce between rugged casual and sporty casual. The fact the I know this is sort of weird 🤭 😂
@mytwistedsoul Haha not weird at all — it’s great that you know this because once you understand the types then you can intentionally dress for how you want to feel or be seen.... And you're right there’s like a whole taxonomy of “casual” — from rugged casual to smart casual to sporty casual to artsy casual (that’s a thing 😅) to casual chic..... I know!!😭
@azurePond You're absolutely right! Sometimes I do intentionally dress for how I want to be seen. Artsy casual would be fun way to show someone's unique individual style and it looks comfortable 😊
@mytwistedsoul Yes, exactly! And then there's this concept called sprezzatura. It’s not a style in itself — in Italian, it translates closely to effortless grace. It’s a way to make fashion feel relaxed rather than stiff or overly coordinated. For eg, loafers without socks, designer dresses with flats, a silk scarf casually tied to a handbag, layering delicate gold jewelry over a basic tee or a crisp blazer thrown over a slip dress. Casual but still refined. It is an art!
@azurePond I had to look that one up. The look is amazing. Very refined. I'm not sure where I would go dressed like that in all honesty. Maybe a date or dinner at a restaurant out of town. Very nice! Thank you! 😊 I learned a new style!
@azurePond Loafers without socks sounds like a good way to get athlete's foot, or at least sufficient foot odor to attract your neighbor's dog...
@slowdecline48 That's what cedar shoe trees for. also, it's not like I'm wearing the same loafers every single day... rotate the shoes, and you can avoid athlete's foot!
I had no idea there were multiple types lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 It's a little amazing really! 😊
Totally Casual
mostly casual but i like trendy
@jesusredeemedme2425
casual but trendy ❤️
Casual because my life does not allow for "trendy"...if "casual" includes clothes for working outdoors & thrift shop items, I'm definitely casual.
Does "casual" include shirtlessness? I do that a lot when it's warm outside...where I am, it usually is.
