Hi:

I know the feeling and it's hard when you hear about people who have been friends since they were children. Popular media makes that sound so easy. For example, when I was a kid, Full House was popular where DJ and Kimmy were best friends. I also happened to have a childhood friend who I was hoping to have the same bond with. Well, as we both got older, started dating next to discovering that we had nothing in common anymore. She also turned out to be the bit of a bad influence next to be a toxic person who never quite got me.

However, my best friend turned out to be a bus driver who I met when I was in the 11th grade. Now she did get me next to having more interesting things to talk about.

My point is, when you find that long term friend, it needs to be with someone who is going to get you and who you can mesh with.
