Body image thread 🧵
Some thoughts I need to get off my chest...
1.
I think about my body a lot. More than I want to.
And the truth is, I wish I was skinnier.
Not for anyone else… just so I could finally feel okay in my own skin.
2.
It shows up in little moments, checking my reflection too often, avoiding certain clothes, comparing myself to others constantly.
It’s exhausting.
And it quietly controls the way I move through the world.
3.
I catch myself thinking,
“If I were thinner, I’d be happier.”
“If I were thinner, I’d feel worthy.”
But that voice never feels like mine, it sounds like all the years of conditioning, judgment, and quiet shame stitched into my thoughts.
4.
Even when people compliment me, it doesn’t stick.
Because this voice in my head always finds something to criticize.
It’s hard to explain how deep it goes, this silent war between wanting to love myself and wanting to fix myself.
5.
I’m working on it.
On healing, on unlearning, on finding peace with the body I live in.
But some days, it just hurts.
And I wish it didn’t have to take up so much space in my mind.
6.
This isn’t for attention.
It’s just something I needed to say out loud.
Because maybe someone else feels this too, and if you do, I see you. I really do.
You’re not alone in this. 🫶
@tealStrawberries1113 I can really relate with you 🤍 Thank you for expressing yourself so openly ❤️
You're awesome and worthy of love and compassion for who you are ❤️ Your feelings are valid, and they truly matter 🤍
And yes, you're definitely not alone in this 🤍 Sending lots of love and best wishes your way! 🐾❤️
@fossilfellow Just knowing that someone relates and understands makes everything feel a little less heavy ❤️ Your encouragement and empathy mean the world to me.

🥺
Its hard to process these feelings and it doesn't matter how often people tell us, we look good, if we don't feel it, we won't believe it. Its an internal battle and it's exhausting. But saying these things out loud and giving light to them, takes the power out of them, and remember, you matter, you deserve happiness 💕💜
@Amanda84 🥹 You put that so beautifully, it’s so true. No amount of outside validation can fill the void when we’re at war with ourselves. It is exhausting… but I love what you said about speaking it out loud, that’s such a powerful act of reclaiming control. 💗
@tealStrawberries1113
I gracefully accept your kind words 💕💜
I feel fat all the time, even though I’m thin.

💕
@jesusredeemedme2425 Thank you for being so open, that’s not easy to say. 💛 What you’re feeling is real, and it matters. Sometimes our minds can be really harsh, even when what we see in the mirror doesn’t match reality. You deserve to feel comfortable and kind toward yourself, no matter your size. If it’s something that weighs on you often, just know you're not alone, and talking about it, like you're doing now, is a really strong step. I’m here if you ever want to talk more about it, truly. 🫶
Thank you <3
@tealStrawberries1113 I am too skinny and I always feel sad and being judged. My parents always compare me others and say I should eat more food.
No one is perfect in this world. We all are imperfectly perfect.
@Kindheart01 Thank you so much foe this reminder , It really means a lot to me, especially right now. Sometimes all it takes is a little reminder that I’m not alone, and you gave me that. Truly, thank you for being so understanding and supportive. 💛
