Coming back after awhile
Coming back to this platform after being away for a while feels both odd and overwhelming. I still have my old username, and it’s a reminder of a time that holds a lot of negative memories for me. It's striking how many people still recognize me from it, while others don’t—and that’s completely okay.
Reflecting on my past, especially from when I was 14 to 15, I realize I was a bit of a rule-breaker. I can see now how much turmoil I was in, impacting the way I interacted with others. Now that I’m 16, almost 17, I have a clearer perspective on the way I treated people because of my mental health struggles. Instead of facing those difficult feelings and reaching out to apologize, I chose to hide, changing my username and deleting my accounts in an attempt to escape my past.
Back then, I thought that since it was all online, it didn’t really matter. But now I’ve come to understand that behind every screen are real people with real feelings. I often think about the conflicts I had with others here and genuinely regret any pain I may have caused. If I’ve hurt anyone during my time on this platform, please know that I’m truly sorry. I carry those feelings with me, and I appreciate everyone's patience as I’ve navigated my growth during this journey.

Maeeeeee! 💜 We’ve only ever talked in the forumland and I recognise you and am sooo happy to see you back, which also makes me believe that the people who got to know you more closely here via personal chats and group chat rooms would be glad to have you back also.
We all learn some and grow along in life sometimes a harder way, or knowingly/ unknowingly causing hurt to someone, and it can indeed be pretty heavy weighing, wanting to avoid the pain that comes from facing it and holding accountability for things we said/ did, is a vv natural human response. I can see why you had to take off then.
What matters more is letting yourself realise things better and to take accountability, while also making efforts in doing better, becoming better, growing more with that realisation. And I’m sooo proud of you for taking the time you needed and for choosing to reflect, realise, repent and re-acclaim what was needed to.
Feelings carry weight. I hope in time, you are able to feel much lighter in your heart, as you keep growing and trying to make better choices than your past-self would have.
And that you can feel included and comfortable in the community again. Here with youu! 🤗💜 Thanks for the cookies hehe!

Hiii sun thanks for your kind words I've missed seeing you in my fourms! Imma age up may of 2027 kind of scared but I want to aknowledge the good and the bad ive caused over on the teen side when I was a little bit more immature then I am now. I do know I have also made a postive impact aswell, but this next year will be a good year hopefully. Then I go over to oldie land next year Im nervous cuz all my friends quit cups after aging up so hopefully that dosen't happen lol. How have you been : ) i hope life has been treating you well
@Maeebae99
Aww yessss you haveee! You have created a positive impact too and yesss, it matters so much that you’re acknowledging everything. 🤗
I feel you about being nervous and scared of aging up. :( Can be such an overwhelming experience for you teens.
Ah about people who may frequent here less or eventually quit cups after aging up, could it also be indicative of the fact that typically the aging up happens when one turns 18 and it’s also the age bracket 17-19 where people are figuring out tons of important stuff in their life regarding college choices, applications, courses, maybe moving in or out of their native place, doing internships, finding work, balancing studies/ academia etc everything with 7 cups can be difficult and ofcourse the “you don’t get to see your favorite people as often now when you age up to a new ish looking place with newww people” doesn’t help it at all.
For many people, I think cups holds nostalgia, wrapped in the regular ish greetings and fun and supportive conversations we have here with our friends and peers. Not being able to talk with someone as regularly as before can certainly be a factor in making one want to frequent this place less often.
The transition and needing to re-adjust to a new ish environment can feel so much stressful if one is already tackling other stuff off-cups. 🥲
It’s awful but I get why many people might choose to take time off from here. :(
Besides not being able to see your friends here as often, what else feels scary to you about aging up? 💜
Oh and thanks for asking me, I’m doing alrighttt, navigating through the usual ups and downs as part of life as well hehe. Whatcha been upto all this while?
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Very true, I am really not nervous for anything aging up, Im hyper independent so I can't wait to have control have my own life. The most I'm nervous about is my listener account aging up, I don't think I'll use that much after I'm 18.
I am super excited to graduate next year, I can't waitt lol
I have been doing lots of school so I can graduate I almost couldn't till 2029, Now im applying to jobs so I can move after I graduate lol
