Distress
I’m just in a state of distress right now. Crying in the bathroom at work. I had to ask my coworkers for help and to fill in for me while I take a break. Genuinely have never felt so pathetic in my life. Getting overwhelmed over nothing. And I’m supposed to be getting a promotion soon knowing well that I don’t deserve it. And me breaking down is probably gonna mean that I no longer am gonna get it anyway. I probably just ruined my chances all because I couldn’t stop myself from crying about nothing. I have no idea what to do, so I’m just doing the screaming into the void thing, just posting about it again and again because why not at this point.
Currently, I do believe that you should say you’re sick and go home. Once you’re home really think about what is happening at work and whether you are being too hard on yourself. We may not always believe in ourselves, but we have to pretend that we do. After a while, this truly does help with self-esteem.
Hey lovely
It's not nothing. Whatever causes you distress it and your feelings are valid.
You feel pathetic but that doesn't make it true. We are wonderful at beating ourselves. Try not to be hard on yourself for that- I know that's hard. You are worthy, you valid, you have gidts to give the world and the world has gifts for you too. You deserve good things. You're going to be ok. I know you don't feel that way right now. But things can and will get better. You are valued and valuable in and of yourself no matter what the voices in your head tell you. Thoughts are not fact. Sending you so much love, I can empathise ð©·
You got this, and we’re here for you <3
@ConureConnor I'm sorry you've had such a bad day, sending you best wishes and hugs, it's easy to be down on ourselves but we are only human, capable of messing up, doubting ourselves and feeling overwhelmed, You do t have to suffer alone 🥰
@ConureConnor
There's no shame in feeling overwhelmed. 💗 It's perfectly okay to ask for help when you need it.
