Does anyone else feel faint?

I'm physically healthy on all my blood tests and medical check ups, but I feel like I'm going to pass out multiple times on a daily basis. I can sleep, eat right, and drink water, but that changes nothing. Does anyone relate?

I'm also autistic, struggling with SH and alcohol cravings, and depressed. I'm guessing my episodes of faintness are based in the mind, but holy crap, isn't that wild to think about? That the mind could be that powerful? Like I could donate blood and pass a physical fitness test, but I still walk around struggling to not collapse.

Yeah, there are physiologic reactions to stress, and they can be quite varied.  When I was younger, I had similar symptoms, but detailing them might be triggering.  The scarier symptoms did subside as I got older.  Not all stressors lead to the same physiologic reactions either.  For example, worrying about bills can cause me to suddenly feel very exhausted and like my brain is shutting down.  An unnerving traffic situation is more likely to bring about more typical responses like a racing heart.

I think as time goes on, we tend to become less sensitive to the kinds of stress we face on a regular basis.  Some people approach the issue by facing the stressors a little bit at a time until they can be around them for greater lengths of time.

If the problem is really difficult to manage, there are treatment options, which include among other things, support groups, therapy and medication.

Okay, thank you. My therapist keeps asking me how I feel my emotions in my body and the examples he keeps providing are 'teary, hot, racing heart, sweating, tension' etc. and it was leaving me feeling frustrated and confused. It is good to know I am not alone in this kind of reaction. Desensitization via exposure hasn't really helped me, so I am doing the whole therapy/meds route. Thank you for responding to my post.

@determinedSea4370 it could be in your mind or perhaps it's low blood pressure. I suffer from low blood pressure although when checked most of the time my blood pressure shows up normal. It just hits you all of a sudden even if your just sitting down. If you only have it mildly like me, there's nothing doctor's can do to help. But yeah I don't know it could be many things. Just don't pass out in the shower🙂 gives you a giant tiny hug 💗

@Tinywhisper11

Thank you. I do actually have below-average blood pressure like you, so that could definitely be a part of it.

I am so sorry that you are going through this. I cannot imagine the frustration level that you are experiencing. The mind is very powerful. The brain itself, its systems, are extremely interconnected. From what I understand of autism, you may struggle to emotionally connect with yourself. I am not a professional. I know from my own personal journey that my emotional system was driving my cravings, depression, chronic migraine disorder, etc. I hope that you find healing in this. You are not strange. The mind is that powerful.
