Do you struggle with it too?

What are some things you do?

I definitely struggle with this, even with a partner around. This is a fundamental part of being human, given that we are social beings, but this certainly does not make it any easier.

These feelings are one of the biggest reasons why I adopted my dog, Hazel. She is the sweetest puppy now, and spending time with her boosts my mood because she always seems so excited to see me!

On our days off, we go to the dog park together, and while she socializes with some of her dog friends, I hang out with the owners and exchange a few words too! It's incredible how many people dogs introduce you to, and I do not deserve the love and joy Hazel has brought into my life.

I highly recommend a pet, such as a bunny rabbit (a very social animal!) or a cat (very low maintenance). Another way I combat loneliness is by calling a friend who lives far away, texting/DMing a friend I haven't spoken to in a while, or even calling a family member to catch up.
