Fire

You know, I remember when I held out for hope. I remember a time where not everything seemed so bad. And I thought...finally....maybe I could be happy. Like....genuinely happy. I wasn't expecting every day to be good, however decent enough where it wasn't just surviving.

Things were looking up. I started to take better care of myself, I got married to an amazing partner and we had a plan.

And then my mum started going crazy out of nowhere. Yelling at us, crying at us, drinking heavily, harassing other people, blaming us for everything that went wrong in her life. And then the fire came.

This Christmas, we woke up to the alarming message that my mum burned our home. In all her craziness she claimed it was an accident. We lost everything. And I feel like I lost a mum because I can't even look her in the eye without pity and anger. She made it worse by making my sister lose her job (she harassed her boss) & fend of her cats to us even though we financially aren't able to, and a million other things.

I grieve the life we had. I grieve the life we were working hard for. I grieve hope.

I am so sorry to hear about the difficult and overwhelming situation you have been going through with your mother and the loss of your home. It sounds like you have experienced a lot of trauma and loss, and it is completely understandable to feel sad and overwhelmed.

It may be helpful to seek support from a therapist or a support group to process and work through your emotions. It is also important to take care of yourself, both physically and emotionally, during this difficult time. Surround yourself with people who love and support you, engage in self-care activities, and try to focus on the things that bring you joy and comfort.

Remember that it is okay to grieve and to take the time you need to heal. And although your current situation may be challenging, there is still hope for a brighter future. You are a strong and resilient person, and I believe that you will be able to overcome this and move forward ❤️

Sorry to hear about it, that's really heartbreaking and traumatizing. Parents that should be nurturing turn in making us feel unsafe and rather than supporting us with care, they create us problems over and over, emotionally hurting us.

I know right? I understand your situation fully and how you could feel. It's good to forgive and be patient to behave as a good child but there's a limit to everything.

Be careful with it, I wish you to find a way to start again building your life with your partner FAR from the toxic parental relationship.

Sending you good vibes ❤️
