Frustrated with prejudice
I feel like society is at a tipping point where most people will agree that racism is bad, but then still be blatantly racist towards white people. I am a caucasian male who is not racist whatsoever, so to see people saying things like “you can’t oppress the oppressor” I guess it just rubs me the wrong way, because I would personally never be prejudice towards someone (unless maybe they were first towards me) and to be called an oppressor is just wrong. I feel like many races feel like they can treat white people however they want because of our history. Yes white people have been very racist in history, but we AREN’T our ancestors and we didn’t enslave you, ect. We are not them, and I’m tired of us being treated like we are. I respect every race and every culture, but when you treat my race like this, it doesn’t make me want to respect you, as wrong as that might be.
there is also just a complete lack of understanding for men’s mental health and needs. Everyone is always talking about how important it is to empower women, and I couldn’t agree more, but men need some help too, y’know? It’s not the 1800s. I don’t believe women are nearly as unequal in society as they used to be if at all anymore, unless you’re the rare *** who still has old views. There’s also just so many women who will sit there and be completely sexist towards men, and then call it a joke when confronted, but if a man were to make a similar joke he would be would be a sexist *** in their eyes. The scales are tipping in the other direction, and nobody even realizes it. I see so many men, and so many white people who are ashamed because of what they are. Being treated the exact way we’ve been trying to avoid for other groups for decades. Centuries, even. If you feel ashamed of who you are for ANY reason you cannot change, or that is not your fault, I sympathize with you, and I hope you can feel better about yourself. EVERYONE deserves to love themself, and that includes whites, and men.
@Martt
I would have to agree with you that painting all people of one group guilty simply because a skin color is too far ........a White person had no more choice into what skin color they were born then any one else did....
I feel this is a ploy to divide people and all it does is create stress and anxiety race relations have gone backwards and it was orchestrated by those making money off off constant divide and race baiting....
well honestly, this is in my opinion the result of centuries of what others have been through, now in order for me to provide a detailed answer I don't have the energy right now.
I agree about the women and men issue in some instances, however the point is not divide between the races and who is right or wrong... even in your post you seem to take offense and sounds like a you against them mentality which should not be that way.
This is just the result of how humans have been treating one another regardless of the race they are now.
