Hi, I’m Ash, an Arab woman, and I’m attracted to the same sex. This is not accepted in my society. I’m 23 years old and I don’t know how to accept this about myself or how to live with it in a society that criminalizes it and doesn’t accept it. If someone finds out, it could unfortunately lead to my death. Has anyone gone through this experience before who can help me? Because I’m lost and don’t know what to do.

I dont have an experience with that so the only thing that comes to mind - is there a way for you to relocate to another country where this is acceptable?
Of course, I really wish to do that, but the situation is very complicated. I don’t know where to start or where to go, unfortunately feel lost and I don’t have anyone to guide me.
@ashhyyyyyynnn Find a migration agent and discuss relocation options with them. You'll need to pay them though.

First of all do not deal with any issue as a victim of socity or culture ... make your choices .. nothing in the world would convince ur family to accept it as this become a rooted belief .. if you are not willing to make your own choices regardless of any one elso thoughts and beliefs you would stock where you are stabbing your inner self to death .. nothing is a sin unless you hurt anyone and first of all yourself .. so torturing yourself is a sin just to meets others beliefs .. second of all try build your a stronger self control over yourself .. any physical attachment is feasting over what really matters spiritual empowerment
Hi I know it’s been a while but I’m seriously sorry you’re going through that. While I do have a family that isn’t too supportive of attraction to the same sex, I personally do not have experience with society itself being unsupportive where I live. However, you do deserve support and the best advice I have for you is online communities and forums. It could be dangerous and risk your safety to come out so for now it’s best to just find support groups. Me and a bunch of listeners are also here to chat if you need someone to talk to. I seriously hope everything works out for you ❤️
As a Muslim I would say try to control your thoughts whenever you are alone or feel tension with the same gender, try catch any red flag about them so you would have a reason to stop it, moving out of country will be tough, by looking at the situation where you can't even express your feelings it is impossible to move out. If you are religious try to recite ayat tul qursi as much as possiblefor you protection.

I can relate how it is criminalized both in society and families as it's the same in Iran, and I'm deeply sorry you have to deal with such unfair rules🫂🫂💗 The fear is so big. I went through a similar experience, it's not real that you are attracted to a woman, when you mix with society and create your own life, I discovered that I am straight, try to create your own world, a life, friends, a mixed society of your own away from your family and previous circle, at a stage I went through what I was going through and it was just feelings and a random life that led to thinking in this way
