How do you keep going?
I want to be happy I try to be happy. I don't want to be a burden of a nuisance. But it's so hard to stay positive when health issues keep knocking you back. And memories won't leave you alone. I've never had much of a chance a slave to 26 owners for 18 years now stuck in a wheelchair unable to look after myself. I feel so down lately 😔 my head is just completely messed up when something seems to start going right something else knocks you back. I don't know what I've done wrong why bad stuff keeps happening 😓
@Tinywhisper11
It's important to remember that your struggles do not define you, and you are not a burden or a nuisance. You are a valuable and worthy individual who deserves love and care. It's okay to reach out for support and seek help when you need it.
It's also important to take care of your mental health and find ways to cope with difficult emotions. This can include practicing self-care, such as engaging in activities that bring you joy and relaxation, talking to a therapist or counselor, and seeking out support from loved ones or support groups.
While it may feel like everything is going wrong, it's important to remember that life is full of ups and downs, and there are still opportunities for happiness and joy. It may take time and effort, but you can work towards building a life that brings you fulfillment and happiness, despite your challenges.
Remember, you are not alone, and there are people who care about you and want to support you.
How do I keep going? When I want to give up, I think about my family and friends. If I cannot keep going for my own sake, I keep going for their sake. I cannot be selfish.
Tiny, do you have loved ones, parents, siblings, anyone who loves you?
@Slayer22 no I don't have a family. I live in a carehome. It's actually a old folks nursing home. But I live here cause it's safe and I need 24 hour care ❤ I'm very lucky to be living here, cause I'm only 22 ❤
@Tinywhisper11, do you have any source of income? How long have you been in the care home? And what do you mean when you say you've been a slave for 18 years? 😕
@Lifeson I'm actually on disability benefits as a source of income. I've been living in the carehome for 3 years after I got rescued and when I was well enough physically to leave hospital I came straight here. I was born into a christian cult. Children born into the cult were either sold or kept for their own enjoyment, slaves mostly sex.
@Tinywhisper11
I live four years in something like carehome. (assisted living) It is meant for people who struggle with mental health issues and have hard time to survive on their own.
@tinywhisper11
*big hugs* you are so strong, and I really admire your strength. You know, it's okay to not be okay. And there's no need to beat yourself up for it. Know you are never, ever, ever a burden or a nuisance, nor have you done something wrong.
I wish I could take it all away from you, you have a sweet heart and deserve none of this. I hope that writing here provides you with some relief. How's painting going? I know you struggle with doing it physically, but I hope it is bringing you some joy.
@CalmCoral thanks coral ❤ yes venting does help. Well it was more of just moaning 😁 I'm good at moaning sometimee.😋 I love painting pictures yes, it brings me a lot of joy ❤ I actually have a very good life now, and no reason to moan. There are many little things in life that bring me joy ❤ gives you giant tiny hug ❤❤❤
I was just so scared after reading your story. I'm very sorry you have to through all of this. I realise it's really challenging to start when your past keeps coming back to haunt you.
Even though we are forced to continue, we might find solace in anything by putting our attention there. Perhaps you might try to speak out against such heinous crimes being performed in society and urge it to help other persons in similar situations may be through your art.
Also, you can speak out or express about it while remaining entirely anonymous. You might feel satisfied as a result.
@crimsonBunny721 I have been trying to find a safe way I can make people aware of this stuff. So far I failed 😔 but I will keep trying ❤ thanks for your kind words ❤❤ gives you giant tiny hug
You did NOT fail. <3
@Tinywhisper11. That's good you try to stay positive. It is hard to stay away from negative thoughts. Sometimes just talking online will help your mood. I'm sorry you feel like a burden but you are not and you are loved.
Everybody goes through trials. Nobody has the perfect life. I like to think everything will be worth it because at the end I will be in heaven where there is peace all the time.
I checked out a book at the library called Life Without Limits by Nick Vujicic. I haven't read it yet but the author has no legs and no arms and looks like he's at peace with himself. Maybe reading it will help you.
@Purple2427 😊 yeah venting does help sometimes. And I'm already feeling better, sorry sometimes you just need a little moan ❤ and yes one day I will be in heaven with my son 🤗 he's a Angel living with God ❤ thanks for the kind words
@Purple2427
That book was really good <3
@Tinywhisper11, do you use any social media, like Reddit, Twitter or ***? 😔
@Lifeson I'm under government protection so I'm actually not allowed on social media sites. I have a big list of sites I'm not allowed to use. But my carers said this site is safe. So yaay! I can communicate with people. ❤❤❤
@Tinywhisper11
What kind of sites are you allowed to use? I'd love to recommend some if you'd like <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 honestly I only really use cups, Amazon music. If I want to look things up, learn new things, go shopping my carer does it with me ❤
@Tinywhisper11
Can your carer get library books for you? Movies? Video games? CDs? Libraries have soooo many things <3
You can instead look at the situation objectively. You don't have to be happy or give up and be sad. Don't give in to sadness or try to pull in and cling to happiness, these things which are circumstantial in this case are temporary.
There is an entire world outside our minds, as you already know. True happiness is something you can't act like or "be" as a result of a given situation. It's contentment and inner satisfaction.
Objectively you are in a wheelchair and you need help. Look at the fact that you have people to help and look after you, some people don't have that. There are also people who are crippled mentally which is worse than physically. Bad things happen because there are good things that happen.
We all need help from other people in different ways, nobody is truly independent. Even if you lived alone in the woods you depend on the environment for your survival.
I don't know of the bad situations that happened. But remember... Some things are out of our control. It's nothing personal.
@BodhisattvaKuato 😁 thanks bodhi ❤❤ I at to read what you wrote 30 million times, but now I think I understand 😁 your a very wise person bodhi. I'm doing the best I can. I promise. And agreed mental health issues can be much worse than physical.
Right. In other words happiness is a result of something, the way you understand. If the happiness you want makes you feel good then you want a temporary happiness because feelings are temporary. If you want to view a situation as happy and positive, that happiness and positivity will be temporary because situations are temporary. There is a deeper level of satisfaction that exists beyond anything that can change, your innate qualities. Your innate qualities is your nature and nature cannot change. If you are happy just being the way you are you must be happy with things as they are.
Yes... Your view matters. If your current view is unpleasant you can pick a different view and I understand that may be difficult... There is always a different perspective.
@TinyWhisper11
You have done nothing wrong. What happened to you is not your fault. It is unfortunate that these things happened to you, but I assure you... it has nothing to do with you.
You were simply a victim of circumstances... things beyond your control. Did you hear what I said, Tiny? You were**** a victim but no longer are you. The beautiful Tiny I know is a SURVIVOR! She may be missing pieces of her but, in my eyes, she is WHOLE. She is a whole beautiful person. She is strong, fierce, loving, kind, sweet, humorous, and brave.
You are nothing short of amazing, my friend. I love you! I admire your strength you possess. I love your wicked sense of humor. I love your openness. I love how you are not afraid to be yourself. I just love you. All of you.
You make so many people happy. You are a real inspiration. Tiny, I know things may seem unfair. You may question why you. But just know, you are an amazing person who has overcome the unthinkable and unimaginable. Please do not ever apologize for how you feel in times you do not feel your best. We can never put ourselves in your shoes to understand the pain you have gone through but we have compassion for you.
Personally, I think you have turned out amazing considering all that way taken away from you. You are strong and I am proud of you!
Hugs to the best Tiny there is! My Tiny! ♡ Xoxo.
@YourCaringConfidant 😁 I am the best tiny 😋 Thank you caring ❤ I was just moaning. Sometimes we all need a good moan! But don't worry I'm ok now. Someday are just harder than others. And yes I WAS not anymore. Now I'm free and I'm me. Amazing 😁 I love you caring ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@Tinywhisper11 ♡♡♡♡
@YourCaringConfidant
^^^^THIS. ALL OF IT. <3
I wholeheartedly agree <3 Tiny is such a blessing to us all! <3
@Tinywhisper11 You are so brave, and I am proud of you. Happiness should not be your task. Eagerly instilling in yourself the thought that "I want to be happy" is like a deadline, which makes you feel rushed and irritable. A wheelchair restricts your body but never your spirit. Your mind is free, if you are a person who does not resist reading, I hope you give it a try, maybe you will find what you need: peace, freedom, and happiness!
@Tinywhisper11 Hey hi, seems tough, wishing best for you.
And how do I keep going? Um, do you read webtoons? I like to read them, and at times I find them inspiring, for other times I remind myself the reasons I need to keep going and it's working for now.
