I am a victim of a whatsapp group wfh scam.
Hello community. I want to share something, which i cannot to people i know.
I dont know how to overcome this. I was so desperate to get a new job and to support my husband financially any way possible. I let my guard down. I got 2 payments from the group for tasks and made me believe it's real. More like I wanted to believe it's real as this could be the solution. I lost a good amount of money, more desperate for jobs, keeping this hidden from everyone and my husband. This will crush him. I keep thinking about all the events, now I can only wonder how did I not see this, and I thought I was smart. I have lost my sleep, I feel guilty, heavy chest, I feel useless and just stressed all time. I have to hide all this too and pretend to be normal. I just cant take when people will make their comments and before i know everybody knows and i get messages and calls. I have to narrate and i dont want to do it and with their look that makes me feel lika fool.

Thank you so much for sharing this here. It sounds like you’re carrying a really heavy burden right now, and I can hear the pain and pressure you’re feeling. It’s completely understandable to want to help your family and to trust in something that seemed like a solution, especially when you were feeling desperate. Scams like these are designed to trick even the smartest people, and you are definitely not alone in having gone through something like this.
It makes sense that you’re feeling guilty and stressed, especially with the fear of others finding out. Hiding something this big can feel exhausting. Please know that making a mistake does not make you foolish or useless—it just means you’re human. You were trying your best in a tough situation.
If you want to talk more about how you’re feeling or what you’re worried about, I’m here to listen. You don’t have to go through this alone.
I'm really sorry you went through this. One of my sibling had also gone through this. It was just like you said, except that it was on t.ele. gra.m. platform. Please be careful next time. I know that you're not to blame. The scammers exploit people during desperate times and at the times where our mind is not free from desperation.
Take it as a lesson and move on. Don't feel too bad that you go into depression. Accept what has happened, learn from it and move on.
Sending you lots of hugs and salute to your bravery.
@enthusiasticBlackberry1044 It takes so much strength to speak about something that’s brought you pain, guilt and fear, especially when it’s something you’ve been keeping hidden.
When we’re under pressure, trying to do our best for the people we love, we sometimes want so badly for something to work out that we miss the red flags. That doesn’t mean you’re not smart or capable. It just means you were trying and you were hopeful. That’s not something to be ashamed of.
I'm sorry ur going this🙁 My sis was also scammed by some scammer online last year and it was a really bad phase for us... I know how it must've been feeling... please don't blame urself I know the scammers have it all planned and set up to emotionally manipulate u into it... I think reporting it as a cyber crime on station might help but still it's probably best to not have too much hope on getting back the cash... Because it's very hard for them to track. 🙁
It's okay take ur time...and please when it feels right let someone you trust know about it... Everyone makes mistakes and ur a human after alI. I wish you all the best! please don't be too hard on urself you deserve all love and support. ❤️ and ur not a fool ur a human ❤️Sending lots of Love and positivity towards you!✨🤍
