I hate how easily I trusted people

..only to be lied to again and again. Maybe this person who lied to me, didn't know that I know their lies. It's sad. Maybe in their eyes I'm just a naive fool 😔..

sorry I've just realized my grammar isn't correct. It's supposed to be "knew" not "know" 😅 English isn't my first language..

For my peace, I know it's best for me to just leave. I hate how they made me feel included and left out at the same time.

Hello! How are you?

I don't know exactly what the situation is, but I know how annoying and hurtful it can be. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with trusting someone, because we can't know what the outcome will be until we actually trust them.

Lying is often a defense mechanism that people use to avoid the pain of the truth or as a method of dealing with the other person. Whether it's to avoid a situation that they're afraid of hurting and getting hurt, or sometimes to maintain an image of themselves.

When this happens in a relationship (regardless of the type of relationship), you can choose to come clean and break this cycle. What happens is that some people lose their limit on their lies, creating a habit and can't stop.

@Pitahouvinte hi I'm fine, it's just sometimes I feel upset that this happened to me 😭. Thank you for your response, I agree with you. Sometimes people lie to hide something from us.. I already knew this thing that they hid from me, but I pretend like I don't know. I think for now I'll take a break from this unhealthy friendship with that person because I don't want to overthink too much😅. Thanks for hearing me out! Have a good day/night

@hopefulencounter

I do not think you are a naive fool ... we all face this to not trust or risk finding out our trust was taken advantage of.  I take the view that trust is earned and breaking that is is not easily regained.

i hope you figure out if this person can earn trust or simply walk away

@toughTiger6481 hi thanks for replying to my thread. it's truly tiring for me to always chase for this person , just for them to see me as a friend even if it's just online 😔. I think you're right, I better walk away from them if this friendship is bad for me..

@hopefulencounter I completely get that. Trust is like a piece of paper...you hand it to someone fresh out if the pack....all perfect and smooth...then one day they crumple it up. You try to smoothe it back out but all the "scars" a.k.a. wrinkles still show through.
