I have a weird feeling about my aunt
My aunt is my dad's sister-in-law, and she's been married to my uncle since I was three. She's ten years younger than him. For a few years now, I've heard my parents saying bad things about her, such as saying that she's a narcissist or manipulative. I don't think that my parents are unreasonable or gossipy people, but they can be pretty biased or quick to dislike someone sometimes. The only reason I couldn't just forget about this is that since I was eleven or so, I've had this strange feeling about my aunt that's been getting stronger as I get older. I feel like she's... judging me or something (maybe that she's fake? That could just be my parents talking though). That she can see exactly what I'm thinking but I don't know what she's thinking at all. I don't know if this has something to do with my parents' opinions about her seeping into my subconscious or if she genuinely just gives me a bad feeling. It's not that I'm unfamiliar with her, because I've known her for eleven years and felt perfectly comfortable with her before the feeling started. I talked to my parents about the feeling, and they said something along the lines of 'your feeling is justified, maybe in a few years you'll see where it's coming from.' I don't want to start distrusting my aunt, because I love her and I enjoy her company, but I don't want to dismiss my feelings either. What do you think? I really need some other people's opinions on this.

when younger we might not see or feel thinks about people maybe as we get older, we start to see it. I know you are trying to be open and not influenced by your parents' opinions about your aunt.
sometimes we find even if we do not want to the opinion's others have on a person may have some basis in fact. it is better IMO to be cautious around a person we have a feeling about.
