@hopefulencounter

I absolutely love the illustrations, you are very talented and you are correct, sometimes we need to prioritise our self first 💕💜

@Amanda84 thank you I'm glad you like my comic and agree with me! 😄🧡 My drawing looks kinda compressed here 😅, next time I will make a better one! Thanks for supporting me :")

Yea, online friendships are hard. It takes two to keep a friendship, and with life situations, you may begin to forget that you were communicating with someone through an app

@LilMayer22 I think so too. I understand that they're busy with life, but ignoring me for one week to nearly 1 month is too much. I felt like I wasn't included or that I forced this friendship

It depends on their response. What did they said when they got back to you? I mean, sometimes you gotta push for an online connection, but you really can't assume, you don't know the other person's circumstances. I used to have an online friend for a while, but it ended up forgetting about each other once we felt less lonely. It's still a good memory, I don't feel resentful, more like a good memory because we both acknowledged staying in contact is hard once you're in adulthood

@LilMayer22 they usually just asked "how have you been?" But then after I told them what I've been doing, they ignored me.

I get it online friendship is difficult to keep, sometimes I can feel it fading slowly..

It sounds like at first there was a genuine interest that perhaps faded over time. Don't get so bummed out, the internet communities are so many now in 2025, back then there was only a few options, I remember when 7 cups was just starting out, so was talklife and Whisper the thing. Try apps like yikyak that connect you with random strangers or Amino. Talklife is where I made the closest friend online I've ever had, just a suggestion. But honeslty, just get used to it. When you're not supwr extroverted and likeable, your reality is a slap in the face.

@hopefulencounter I honestly can't read all of it, too small print, but I was able to read the first 2 pics. If someone doesn't reciprocate their friendship, then stop doing your part. I've had the same thing happen, and I just ignore and move on. Friendships work 2 ways, they're not one-sided.

@mlwhit83 sorry about that, I forgot that once uploaded the picture will be so compressed like that😅. What you said is true,  that's why I left them..  one friend from that group is having a birthday today and I still come back even just to wish her a happy birthday.

@mlwhit83 I got you, but yesterday I thought I'd feel really bad if I didn't wish her happy birthday. Now I feel slightly better, if after this she ghosted me again then it's totally clear for me. :")

I’ve been here before! I’m the one taking a break now and it feels so good to disconnect from the online world and reconnect with the real world. I can think, I can sleep and my day and emotions are not dictated by someone online. I can manage my time better, I am more thorough at my job, I have less worries, I wake up and go to bed in my own terms not because of someone else’s time zone! After I get pass the ache of the normal routine of taking to these people I feel more free than I’ve ever felt. I realize how much being online has robbed me of time, good emotions and self care!

@Savon05 thank you for sharing your experience with me, it really inspires me to be kinder with myself. It's all true, being offline is so much happier than online. Especially when this online connection causes worries.
