Im failing hard in life

Right Now everything has been really difficult for me and I don’t even know how to reach out to someone. I don’t think I can go to therapy or something and overall has been really confusing, thinking that it may not be a good thing to keep on being here and it’s really scary But well I’m about to turn 18 in like two months, and I have to find a job and I have to decide my career. Also, I feel kind of bad. My parents are wasting money for me, and I have this idea of not wanted to be here and more. Also, I fail with relationships, and I’m talking about friends because I have never had a boyfriend, which makes me sad. And I think my friends hate me. . They always have, but I don’t know where to go. What to do. I feel like *** and so lost. I’m supposed to be happy, and I’ve been telling myself that for the longest time, this is supposed to be a happy place. I can’t be sad With Everything I Have, but I feel like, doesn’t really matter. I have decided to just give up.

@moonoquq I'm currently 20 and have plans for what I want to do in the future, but with how life is going right now I am not even sure what to do; drop out of college and start working, or continue college mindlessly. It's difficult. I understand your struggles with your parents putting money in to invest for your future. You can always start college with an undecided major and see how it plays out. Depending on the college community, you can find your interests in clubs and organizations there.

It is important to reach out for help when you need it. I feel the same way as you do, despite having been married for 11 years to a wonderful, hard working wife. As well as having traveled abroad. I have also had a whole string of jobs (which I had trouble translating into longer term careers with these various employers due to my illnesses.)

You are 18. You have your entire life ahead of you. Give yourself permission to try and make mistakes.

If you feel you can't cope, reach out to an understanding family member, friend and/or medical professional that can counsel you through your difficult time.

Jesus loves you. Maybe, you can reach out to a large supportive Bible-believing church. They usually have the support systems in place to help those in crisis as well as provide a spiritual foundation so that you can develop your walk with God. You can also have the opportunity to make life-long friends that are spiritually grounded.

I believe the YMCA is correct in adopting as their symbol, the triangle: Body-Mind-Spirit.

Breathe, Go for a Walk in Nature, Make a Cup of Tea.

Jesus loves you.

Well you can always go back to purpose. If that purpose isn't well defined and you proved to yourself that it isn't giving the best results, then it isn't for you.

i totally understand feeling like you are supposed to be happy. i get that a lot, especially when i see others being happy, or when other people are enjoying things and i just feel like garbage.

@beetlesky@beetlesky

it sucks, but we can't control the initial feelings we experience, like feeling super down without really being able to explain why, we can only control what we do next. like listening to a song, trying to talk to ourselves like we would to a friend, or messaging a friend. some days doing any of those could feel really, really hard, and on those days we just have to be patient with ourselves.

Hey, I can only imagine how tough things must feel right now. Let’s take a deep breath together - you’re doing the best you can, and that’s something to be proud of.
