I'm that person who can't say goodbye

like instead of saying goodbye, I choose to avoid. Because maybe deep down I don't want to say goodbye?  Sometimes I feel like a coward because of that.

@hopefulencounter you're not alone 🤍 this feeling is relatable. And it's okay not to always say goodbye. Sometimes it's just doesn't feel right... where we don't feel like saying it. Maybe for your own peace of mind... But it doesn't mean you don't care — you do. That's why you're thinking about those moments.

Try not to be too hard on yourself ❤️ If you feel like someone needs to hear something... which you regret not saying, you can maybe let them know or not it's up to you, and it's okay not to always do the "goodbye" part, especially when it feels overwhelming. you're not weak for choosing your peace of mind 🤍 and you're thoughtful for reflecting on them.

Sending lots of love ur way! 🐾❤️

@fossilfellow thank you for understanding my feeling 🥹🙏. I'm so bad at this, I was about to say goodbye but when I tried to do so, I came back again instead of leaving. Maybe one day I'll just fading from them without saying anything

@emeraldstones aww, thanks. Isn't it tiring to have a big heart like this? 😞

@hopefulencounter

It's okay to not want to say goodbye. In our culture it is believed that when someone's leaving the house, they shouldn't say 'goodbye'. They should say 'I will come back soon/I will be home soon' and the one seeing them off may say something like 'See you soon'. This is because you should always remain optimistic. People leave to fulfill greater purposes, they aren't making a permanent exit. As per me, I believe this is also a way of gaslighting your brain into thinking that you aren't left alone and they will be back to you sooner than you expect.

@hopefulencounter

honestly… i feel that. i’ve done the same, avoiding the goodbye part. not because i didn’t care, but maybe because saying it out loud makes it feel too real. like, if i don’t say it, maybe there’s still a chance… or maybe i’m just not ready to let go.

and yeah, sometimes i’ve called myself a coward too… but now i’m starting to think it’s just how my heart tries to protect itself.

you’re not alone in this. i see you 🫶
