Is there a community/ category for the subject of Anger?
I am having a moment today where a long-term situation of low-level frustration has finally simmered into outright anger, and I have no good place to vent it.
I also have issues with allowing myself to get angry, due to negative conditioning and a strange relationship to the emotion itself. I don't know where to talk about it, because it's often seen as a negative trait, or it doesn't fit in the other categories neatly.
Anyway, I am grateful that today I was able to reach that emotion, because it enabled me to stand up for myself in a confusing situation. But now I need somewhere for that energy to go, and I can only rant to my irl friends so many times.

Hello,
Hmm. I've taken a look around and I feel that the most fitting place is in this community itself (General Support), in the "managing emotions" sub-forum. I think it's great that you are trying to vent your frustration as best as possible. I believe writing about our emotions, does help wonders in releasing them. I'm also glad you were able to stand-up for yourself. <3 💛

I hear you and understand i think many people let low level frustration simmer and it is only a matter of time ....i agree having a regular outlet be it exercise or writing a journal and in some cases speaking your mind when you have been wronged.
People who do not learn to do this IMO are ones who will eventually snap.

Speaking up is often the hardest thing to do! I used to be better at it, and then i fell into a people pleasing spiral, and i'm trying to claw my way back up from that.
It's all in little steps, i think. Allowing myself to be angry about things that I have a right to be angry about is the first hurdle, and I think i'm heading in the right direction.
