I use my phone so much, I don't think it's healthy anymore lol
Hello, Jace here 👋 Just going to rant here. See, my phone has this feature where it counts my screen time, and I check it from time to time. I checked it today and look this, it's worse than last month 👇

See those bar there, that's how much I use my phone lol 16 freaking hours everyday, more than half of the day I stare at phone! What. The. Heck. Am. I. Doing. With. My. Life. 😆
(I'm checking this at 3am of my Friday btw. So Friday just started and I already used my phone for two hours lol!)
I can't even stop it because all of my 'hobbies' are compacted into this phone: playing games, watching videos, reading, writing and all that good stuff... Well considering that I added this site... Let's just say I can't for next week's screen time, maybe I'll beat my own record! Whoop ✊
Tbh I don't know why I keep checking this. Every time I see it, I can't help thinking I'm wasting my life but I don't know what to do about it. It's aways been like this ya know, it's just freaking sad my whole life revolves around my phone...
I stare at this thing and ask myself, how to I make those bars lower... But really, I can ask myself that same question a million time but I won't have the answer.
Okay enough sad stuff, I'm leaving this in a positive note, dog vids are cute and makes me smile every time, animal dubs especially lol Time spent seeing them are soo worth it! 🌈✨
@JaceB
well you are aware of it so that is a step in the process of changing....
when i look around at people lost in their phone i ask myself what for ..... they are seemingly searching for reading about other peoples lives ... the world is going on and those with heads down miss it...
i have been working on doing things in life not just looking a t a phone.
Hey @JaceB.
I hope you are doing well. I am glad you've taken up this topic. Some of us use our phone for long hours, only realising later the impact it can have on our health. Screen time has been increasing drastically among young adults and children, especially. It has grown to be a matter of concern. There are occasions when it's inevitable but most can be limited practicing a stringent control.
Most phones have a feature of "app timers" under the "Digital wellbeing and parental control" section . Under this system, you can set a timer on how long you're allowed to use a particular app. After exceeding the time limit, the app shall turn off and go inaccessible automatically. This feature can be altered in case of emergency or as per needs.
I watched a video by Jay Shetty a while ago. He promotes having a "no phone zone" when you're having dinner or having a gala time with your dear ones. This initiates and inculcates positive habits and focus our attention solely on personal development and family time. You can simply allocate a basket and collect the phones in your house during such gatherings.
Take care. 💜
Ps. You may also have your dog watch you lol🐶
