though 7 cups helps me cope with my problem I still think it's best if I consult a professional but then again I can't due to financial reasons

@kraiggg2332

Kraiggg,

Start by going to our sharing circle.  It helped me a lot to have people listen to me and offer support, no matter what I say.  Have you gone to our sharing circle?  Please do.  It will help you.

@kraiggg2332

Have you tried online resources? I used to feel the same way. I'm not discouraging therapy, however, I am glad I didn't go because I heard other experiences that they don't do anything but expect you to pay for each session.

I know journalling and music are techniques to help, and I definitely agree with Purple Tree about sharing circles.

@kraiggg2332 NAMI (national alliance of mental illness) has some support groups that are free. Just go on their website and look at the closest city/branch near you. The support groups mostly meet on zoom and are free. There are a variety of different support groups: peer support group, LGBTQ support group, BIPOC support group. Some places have things creative writing classes. There are a bunch of options I really recommend checking them out! It may not be the same as therapy/group therapy but it's a great place where you can open up and talk to people who understand you and where you can learn alot from.
