Journaling

I used to pen down my thoughts a lot before, like constantly writing everyday. And then somehow I lost the habit of journaling. Lately it feels like when I write about any scenarios that upset me it feels like I am reliving that moment and I hate it.

Has anybody ever felt like that? Or is it just me?

@limegreenHuman9402 hey yeah, I've totally felt that too

like sometimes journaling brings stuff up and instead of feeling better it just kind of reopens everything

there were times i avoided writing for that exact reason, like i didnt want to keep reliving the thing i was trying to move on from... it’s weird cause writing is supposed to help, right?

recently i started again but with something different—i’ve been using calyssa.ai, it’s kind of like journaling but it gently talks back and helps you shift the focus from just reliving to actually understanding what’s underneath. it’s been softer, if that makes sense

you’re def not alone in this
curious, do you usually write freely or follow prompts?

Thankyou!! I will definitely try that. Also I don't understand what means following prompts while writing
