Loneliness and mental health issues

I feel very lonely and misunderstood among people who appear to be sane and normal.

I cannot explain why my brain freezes and I cannot get out of bed on some days because of anxiety which other people seems fully capable f doing.

I cannot explain why I have social anxiety and am scared of meeting and going amongst people when everyone else around me is able to do it.

At some point in life I want to stop feeling like I have mental health issues and want to be told tnat I am good and normal the way I am. But it seems like a distant dream.

Has anyone felt that and if so how do you deal with it? What helps you feel better and okay to not be as sane as others and still love yourself

Hey! nice to meet you here. How are you?

You are not alone. We are here. The freeze response is not a weakness; it is a protection mechanism, even if the danger is invisible to others.

The thought that others are normal and you are not, might be the toughest to handle at times. You are not broken; you are being more transparent with your difficulty than others.

We are all allowed to be loved without any fixing, I think.

Hello Shygirl,

you are not broken, there are a lot of us who suffer the same fate. I go through life as if everything is a blur. I spend as little time around other people, outside of family. My social anxiety seems to have gotten worse as the years go on. I have been introverted and don’t have any real friends outside of work, where there is only 1 person i talk to.

I hope you can come out of your shell and find that comfortable spot to be around other people.

If you want to talk about it, please don’t feel you can not. No judgement here. Sending lots of hugs your way 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Shygirl:

You are not alone. Many people especially teen agers suffer from anxiety and social anxiety.

You are not insane. You might be different in some ways from some people, but therein lies your uniqueness. Your uniqueness is what makes you special and your sensativity will become your greatest strength. People love people who are honest and authentic even if they don’t always express it openly.

I wish you the best. ❤️

I can relate with what you said. And for now I don't know How I am coping it. I don't think I have discovered anything to deal with it yet. I just say some phrases to me. Sometimes they work sometimes don't but I have seen improvement. There are many things behind the improvement. Some happened themselves , some I did consciously. Going out even If I am scared or nervous. Sometimes talking to people even when uncertain. Trying to brush off the moments where I felt embarrassed, saying things Like "It's normal", "Everyone Slips" , " You are a Human" etc.
