Lonlieness on 7cups ✨
Hi all,
Hope you all are having a wonderful day!
Recently I was thinking about writing this post but slightly stepped back and gave it some thought before just going on with the blabber 🙃 haha. (just me being bunny :'))
-------
Idk. So you know.. this place is great. Like.. Its nice talking to people and learning about others with the fun and all that and I've made some nice memories here for 1 year I've been on here. Like hearing about other people's stories and mental health and of course learning about myself.
However it does feel lonely sometimes 🙃 and yk deep inside sometimes it feels your in a crowd full of people and you still feel alone. At first I thought it was just me or something. But then I realised most people feel this way. Like they aren't being included or that no one cares.
I read a post regarding the importance of upvoting forum posts and how it can mean the world to someone. Or even just welcoming someone to the chatroom. It's a simple idea but it means so much to someone.
It can feel quiet lonely sometimes. And maybe it's just me being paranoid or something about people forgetting about me.
Idk. How to put it into words. It just feels like no one is there even tho they are there yk. And we just keep being trampled on and walking in the same cycle over and over.
Anyways. Lemme know your thoughts on this and maybe I'm just being paranoid and exaggerating.

No you are absolutely right. That is why I take time to respond to people. When you feel lonely though, remember there still people on here, over 10,000. And you always have yourself, even though being alone is not always fun. I was on here years ago and I just joined back.😊 Typically someone will post to your threads and things like that.
@communicativeCar962
Hey! First of all welcome back! It's nice to see people coming back. And I totally agree with you! It's so important to have ourselves at this time especially in the difficult times and being there for ourself! Thank you for the reminder! 🙃
You have a wonderful day/night too! ✨🦕

Hope you are have a wonderful day too!
@amiableBunny4016 I go through this all the time. I receive quite a bit of attention too.
I know for me it is a few issues:
1. I personally need RL face to face contact with others. I have been able to get out more lately this has helped.
2. Cups fills my cup I empty it and want more. It is nice and kinda weirdly temporary.
3. I find in order to not be lonely I need consistent interaction with others, and the same others. Work and volunteering is great for this.
It used to be families and communities met these basic needs so often they do not anymore.
You aren't alone!
@RogueOne1983
Aww! I hear you. I see it as attachment seeking (I don't like calling it attention seeking :p ) . We are social creatures and tend to want to be around people. We need interaction and people around because what's what makes us human! I totally agree with you and I can understand where your coming from!
Thank you for your response and your kindness! Have a wonderful day/night!
Bunny
@amiableBunny4016 most welcome same to you!!
oh and I like you call it "attachment seeking" cause people get judgey about "attention seeking."
Dogs will jump all over us act goofy bark wag tails we do not judge them; why do we judge each other???
@RogueOne1983
we live in a judgemental society <3 wheather your a teenager or an adult, the society standards have set and the expectations have affected us in so many ways. thank you for your support and I would love to talk more!
@amiableBunny4016 absolutely that would be great
I feel the same too! Especially in the chat rooms. Most of the time when I go on there no one is saying hi and they are just continuing the conversation. It feels so awkward and I really feel out of place. I hope people will be more considerate about it. Because a support room is for support after all. I also had a bad time finding listeners(time difference, they don't understand my issues..) But it's still a good app tho and I'm glad I found it!
@23helicopters
Yeah. Back when I was a newbie I could relate to this. Often people avoid saying hi or interaction. And even now sometimes it feels this way. I can see why your saying this. It's very awkward and strange and sometimes we don't know what to say :') it gives me anxiety sometimes to join. And like you said this is a place for support and it's important we are all included!
Thank you for your response! Have a awesome day/night!
Bunny
Actually weirdly enough when I was a newbie (it's been around a year now that I'm on this app) I felt always included and people were SO NICE! But that's only recently that I felt excluded in the support room. I usually don't even go there now I just post something in the forums to vent and that's it.
Thank you you too!
@amiableBunny4016 no definitely not paranoid or exaggerating. Some times you can be there and help others, but when it comes to you asking support of them. Can sometimes feel like noone cares or wants to know. So yeah lonliness in a crowded room can happen, unfortunately. Gives you a giant tiny hug ❤❤❤
@Tinywhisper11
Aww! I love tiny hugs! 🤗🤗 thank you! Yeah sometimes it's difficult to reach out and ask people for help, it's like we live in this fear of being judged or saying something wrong , or we just don't want to hurt anyone. Talking to someone is difficult especially during uncertain times. 🤗❤️❤️
Thank you! Stay awesome pawesome and *tiny hugs*! ❤️

@amiableBunny4016
your absolutely not paranoid, bunny bean. i’ve felt this way before too. your not alone, and your free to talk about how you feel buddy. and your definitely not exaggerating ❤️ not at all.
i think being ignored happens a lot in the chat rooms, more than it does in forum-land. at least that’s what i feel, it may or may not be true. especially as a newbie, being ignored is (sadly) quite likely 😞 but i also think it depends because i have seen many newbies who are very much included in the conversations.
i agree with you about the upvotes. i think they have a lot of impact as well, despite being such a simple thing. they can show agreement… support… and i feel that an upvote acts as a way to tell someone ‘hey, i *see* you and i *hear* you’ ❤️ it may even act as a way to say, ‘what you have to say *matters* <3’ (if that all sounded wrong, then i am so so sorry :'3)
welcoming people in rooms can be helpful as well ❤️ but sadly it’s more common for people to be ignored in the rooms 😕 which can lead to them feeling unimportant or… just that feeling of being unseen :') and… loneliness.
sometimes when people are having vv lighthearted conversations in the support rooms, others may feel like they’re intruding or they’re just not welcome there 😞 it hurts.
i apologise for my rant 😅 hehe. just a little reminder for bunny bean ❤️ your not alone in this. we see you and we hear you, and we love you ❤️
i’m grateful to you for making this post too ❤️ it’s nice to have a space to talk about loneliness on cupsies. *offers gentle hugs for bunny bean, if okay*

@LoveMyMoonflowers
Hehe 🌈 me absolutely agree with Ni friend about all these points you made! 💕
Yes it's easy to get left out in chatrooms. And forums is slightly easier because you have a chance of getting a reply or an upvote. (Upvotes and replies definetly makes us feel less alone!)
I hear you about welcoming people into rooms and especially when we join in the middle of a conversation and we don't want to jump or intrude other people when they are talking. It can cause slight anxiety to say something wrong and things :/
Everyone should feel heard seen and no one should feel left out or ignored 🧡🥺
Thank you Ni so much! 💕 you is also not alone! Thank you for being so caring and lovely!
Hehe. Dinosaur! Rawrrr! 🦕🦕🦕🦕
Bunny bean always here for chu!

@amiableBunny4016
aww bunny bean 🥺💜 thank you. *hugs if okay* 💙
@amiableBunny4016 Aww… Bunny, I feel you. Sometimes were among so many people, but we still feel lonely. It's not just you, Bunny, a lot of us feel this way and you aren't alone. *hugs if okay* ❤
You're right, upvoting forum posts or making someone feel welcome in a chat room really can brighten someone's day, and I think I should start doing that more haha! 😃
It's sadly pretty common to get ignored in chatrooms or the forums happens, and it hurts. It can make people feel lonely, unseen, unheard, and disappointed. Getting ignored in chatrooms is sadly even more common. Sometimes someone might come in and say "hey" but they just continue with their convo and it feels awkward for the person who just came in. That's kinda why I usually don't visit chatrooms. I'm sure this would be happening with many others, and it's really sad. 😞
You're not being paranoid, Bunny, and you are not exaggerating, I promise. And we aren't forgetting you. We do remember you and we really miss you when we don't see you in a while. How have you been lately, buddy? 💙
@exuberantBlackberry9105
Heyyyyy my friend,
It's lovely to see you 💜 I agree with you, it is quiet common to get ignored in chatrooms and forums are definetly helpful in terms of upvotes/responses. Sometimes we all feel alone in a crowd and that's okay 💙 and it's difficult sometimes 😔
Of course it's important everyone is heard and seen on here and everyone deserves to be listened to 🌈🥺 I agree with you sometimes it can feel awkward coming into a conversation hehe. That causes a little social anxiety for me sometimes.
Thank you friend! Your so kind and lovely to be around! 💕 I'm so happy to see you 🧡 thank you for checking in on me, I'm getting there. How have you been friend? *Hugs if okay* 🥺 here for you.
Bunny
@amiableBunny4016 Ah, Bunny, I agree with everything you just said. I understand, coming into a conversation can be really awkward and cause some social anxiety. I feel you. ❤
Aww… thanks for your kind words. You too are genuinely wonderful to be around. Your presence makes me feel better and I love your energy, friend! 💕
I'm happy to hear you're getting there. I believe in you, you can do it! 💙 Thanks for asking, buddy. Sadly, I'm just not doing great right now. But I'm here for you if you need me. *hugs back if okay*
@amiableBunny4016 Hi, I just joined 7cups today. I agree with what you say. I hate feeling alone, and some people just don't know that just saying hi can really help. There are also times were I don't know what to say, but I hate when someone doesn't answer me since it does feel lonely, so I try to at least answer in some way. Even if it is saying I'm not sure what to say.
