Mental health :D
So like i was watching a video about mental conditions and illnesses and i just wanted to ask a little question. This is the like the third time i am doing a thread so I hope i am doing this right but:
What is something you wish people knew about mental health or a mental condition you have?
I know it's cliche but I just wanted to ask.
@IHeartGamingFr2892
Such a good question.
I think one major would be that when I say I am tired, its not just an excuse. I really feel tired down to my bones 😅
What about you?
@IHeartGamingFr2892
You posted great!
I think for me it would be that not all conditions are visible. Just because I look healthy and have a tan from sitting in the sun doesn't mean I am!
Any tips for using and being able to see screens in the sun?
@MistyMagic I usually just turn up the brightness lol
@IHeartGamingFr2892 haha that works too, but sometimes the sun is too 😎
That it is as important as physical health and not 'all in the head'.
Thank you for your question. I am happy to answer too
It is possible to live a relatively normal life when the illnesses are managed. Yet, the first step to seeking help for mental health is often not easy (mental health is not fully recognized/ heavily stigmatized) .
The public can do their part to be compassionate to people with mental health conditions because they are humans too after all.
People Judge to much. A lot of things would be less common if people started to be a little bit more compasive
You are right and we do spend so much of out time worrying about them. We can't control people, but we do with ourselves.
That I, a person with BPD, experience frequent psychotic episodes when I am in distress. Things that seem insignificant for others, like a disagreement or a rude person on the street, can cause me to detach (split) and I may begin hallucinating, having odd beliefs about myself and/or others (delusions), catatonic behavior (difficulty moving, speaking), but I haven't had disorganized speech (as far as I am aware of).
For me, my psychotic episodes can last from a few minutes to a year.
It's a very strange occurrence. It's like slipping into a dream and not realizing you're asleep, then when you do wake up—everything's different, and you're not sure how long it's been or what's happened. It's like sleepwalking.

Thank you for sharing. You are very courageous. I hope you are finding your way.
@IHeartGamingFr2892 You are the only person that needs to know it deeply in order to live peacefully, challenge yourself when you are willing to. None needs to see you, to protect you especially when you know what kind of mental health discomfort that you have, because you are aware of it!
Do not rely on others! If your condition could hurt someone else, you can still decide. If you won't, you can still decide.
Mental health issue is not a permanent condition, it's a challenge for you to understand it. To dive into it and reclaim a change.
Good luck dearest
