How to stop being disappointed or emotionally triggered by a mom who acts and behaves unconcerned of ur feelings or interest or always somehow concerns herself more even if u explained her many times? Throughout years I done many healing works, but this thing still kinda triggers me. I hope it can get better soon.

we cannot change others only ourselves in how we deal with their issues.  I had a mother like that, and I confronted her about it she denied and lied about how she acts and after that I realized not my issue I cannot change her.

So, I no longer let her indifference or her inability to understand me bother me.   It is her loss in not knowing me or showing an interest.

Know your own worth.

And pick your battles with your mother.

Dont let her zap all of your strength.

She is your mother and I'm sure you love her but doesn't always make her right 💚

I Don’t think u can say exactly I love her, and I don’t think she knows what is love herself( because she cannot give) , but it is precisely because the emotional entanglement with her that drains me. I think only when I set clear emotional boundaries with her my life can work better. Thank U🙏😊🙏🙏

If you got to my profile you will be able to see my blurb where I just detailed those emotions in my own experience. I relate to you, it doesn’t matter how old you are, this is an ongoing problem that does make it hard to have relationships/balance yourself out.

The thing that’s keeping me positive is realizing that I don’t have to feed into the very negative emotions and that I am trying to better than that. I get you 100% because it is toxic and it does feel like a never ending battle.
