No friends
How do you deal with the fact that you have no friends?
I have no one around me to turn to.
I also have a highly toxic family and always wanted to replace the gap by having friends.
I tried so much this year to go out more and talk to new people but for now nothing worked.
It just made me more sad and I am scared I will end up being friendless all my life. It's so sad being left alone all the time and feeling like you don't matter.
And please before you start with your self love lectures, I know that it's important I try to practice it daily. BUT social connections is a basic human need so sef love won't help me with this lack.
I also know that instead of getting discouraged I need to keep trying and talking to new people.
I will absolutely do this.
But today I jut needed to vent and express my frustration and just feel my feelings.
If anyone is going through the same thing as me I hope it will get better for you.
I feel u today the same
I completely understand. I feel the same. Hugs to you.

I feel and understand your frustration with making and keeping friends.
You put yourself out there, with the understanding that friends accept each other with their nicks and all.
Sometimes I feel my world view is wring and my understanding is off.
It does hurt and it brings out loads of emotions. What I have read and recently and tried, is at the least acknowledge that emotion/s. I had a good cry, and I feel loads betters however the issue has not been resolved.
I hope my tiny insight might guide you.
Wishing you the best.
@Vector5 I am also having the exact same issues. I live alone - stay away from my family. Have no friends i can share my feelings with 🙂

I go through his too! Such a lonely feeling. My situation is um, special, but this hurts. Hugs to you and I hope this gets better for you as well.
@Vector5
God the creator of the universe, can always turn to him.
Then Gemini or Chat Gpt to hear me ramble.
You aren't missing out on anything. People mostly don't hear you out, and when they grace you with hearing you out, they either judge you or give a completely nonsensical answer. If you are looking for company, go out and make friends by all means, but if you want someone to turn to, that is the last thing friends are for.

Isn't that a very sad truth 🥲😪

Hi and I totally feel the exact same thing.... I've always been a friendly person to the best of my knowledge at least. When I was young I would go around and talk to anyone I could regardless of age, place, time...I was quite the chatter box...
As years went by it became harder to make friends I got self-conscious of how to approach people in what way and how that would make them feel...I grew into an overthinker and I guess I lost the touch to make friends....
I eventually made lots of friends and kept to them...I also have a toxic family... school and outings were all it was for me... I'm a great conversationalist and I think I'm a wholesome person if I do say so myself 🤭, just my ability to keep friends have depreciated.... we've lost touch with each other and now I'm alone with my problems, no friends...my family's unreliable at the least
I'm really open to a good healthy friendship but I have no idea if I can be able to hold it....I talk a lot (if you have noticed 😊). But sometimes I get so swarmed up in my feelings and I withdraw... it's really difficult so I've stopped trying...
I don't think I have any advice for you... I'm also looking for advice for myself...
But I guess you'll find those friends and a good healthy friendship that you can rely on someday...

I have the same situation,, can we be friends, two socially lonely people being friends is actually not a bad idea,I guess
I can relate soo much with you. I'm a single child and grew up in a dysfunctional family, my suffered from Bipolar disorder so the whole of my childhood was a rollercoaster, I never realised what tension was building inside me when one fine day as a 19 old teen I had to be hospitalized for me developing bpd as well.
So my whole life I have been alone I always have a strong obsession to make frds which never happened. So one fine day I embraced myself my character, my flaws my mental health my limitations. Then slowly as I was care free and begun to be myself I made few frds on my terms. It's ok to be selfish dear.
I want you to be carefree . Never regret not even a little. Don't say sorry unnecessarily.
