“One Percent Better” Challenge!
If you’ve ever read the Slight Edge, you know about this general idea.
Starting December 1st, we are all (yes, that means you, and me, and everyone else who wants to join!) going to do something small that will make our lives 1 percent better every day!
Not sure what this looks like?
Here’s a few examples:
Eat a strawberry along with your cookie
Read one page of a book
Drink two more sips of water
Write one line in your journal
Delete one email
Put your clothes out for the next day
March in place for 5 seconds every time you use the bathroom
Put away one thing that’s near you
Look up the meaning to one word
Text one friend
Drink tea instead of soda for one meal
You get the idea.
BUT!
Don’t go “typical” if you possibly can. Think outside the box. Come up with something super random every day to make your life a TINY bit better! Just 1%. Google it. Ask AI to give you ideas. Ask friends. I don’t care how you do it hehe!
Just post about it and tell us about your adventures! Tag someone, who you think might enjoy this challenge <3
December is OUR month. Let’s CRUSH it! <3
I reduced the amount of caffeine I consume to deal with anxiety.
One less cup today.
I showered.
That’s all I got today lol.
Does that count???
@jesusredeemedme2425
It counts 💜

@jesusredeemedme2425
definitely counts ❤️
I really love this idea and I am thinking of doing this into the new year!! Thank you so much for this post ❤️ This is truly something we should all do, it is a lovely idea on how to simply better ourselves with not doing too much either. I love it!
Wow, definitely trying this
@jesusredeemedme2425 started on the new checkout cards system for another of my work places, because they saw what I did for one and wanted it too. I've been putting it off for a while now 😁
What is a checkout card?
@easyScarf7950 basically help cards we use for things without a code. Like when you had casheers in grocery stores flip through a catalogue like thing to ring up fruit and pastry that was not pre packed before the touchscreen registers with pictures were a thing and they had to enter a number sequence for the product. That's essentially what I'm fixing up because ours is a mess
Yesterday I rested.
Today I baked cookies and wrote a simple workout plan based on my doctor's advice. I'm so glad she took the time to recommend some exercises I can focus on! My challenge now is to do at least some of them every day.
Doing my pmr exercises and taking it easy this morning doctors orders. I usually am doing more, but I am learning how to accept help in the process and to be thankful for it. Thinking positive thoughts.
Today I did a set of exercises right after breakfast while hanging out with my husband and son. The exercises were so simple and easy that I didn't feel a need to put workout clothes on. I want this to become a habit, so I can get stronger and have better posture.
I just started tracking my 1% Better Challenge in a habit tracker, so I will only post the highlights here.
Today I vacuumed my baseboards! Plus other nooks and crannies. It was so satisfying.
