One of Those Unexpectedly Good Days

Hey friends,

Just wanted to share a small win—today was a really unexpectedly good day. I went to Sam’s Club for the first time with my mom and brother, and it kind of felt like stepping into an episode of Superstore—the blue and white colors, the layout, just the vibe of it all had me quietly amused the whole time.

I saw their Scan & Go arches at the exit and was like, “What the heck is this?” It looked so futuristic and extra—I didn’t use it, but it definitely caught my attention and made me laugh a little on the inside.

After that, we grabbed Chipotle, picked up my sertraline (I’m starting a new dose tonight), and headed home. The funniest part of the day was when my brother dropped his keys—twice—while trying to open the front door. The second time, his car remote even flew off the keychain. For some reason, it was so funny to me, I was crying from laughing. It’s been a while since I laughed that hard, and it felt really good.

It reminded me that joy can show up in the middle of the most random, ordinary days—and that kind of joy is healing too.

Thanks for reading. I hope something silly or sweet finds you today and brings you a little peace or a smile.

Joy and laughter does not have to come from big moments in life. The seemingly small things add up and can fill us with what we need. They are all around us if we take the time to look for them.
