Procedural question
The procedure on 7cups is that Members select Listeners. Either at random or by browsing. But can it happen (should it happen) the other way round? Listeners browse the profiles of Members and select ones they think they can help. I think Listeners will be better at deciding who they can help than Members are at deciding who can help them.
Also, do any Listeners do voice chat? Using something like a server on D###### (I have blanked this out before 7cups website does). Text chat is terrible.
Hiya @tinman411, yes you've got that right. It's typically members reaching out to listeners using the browse page: https://www.7cups.com/BrowseListeners/ where they can select different filters, read bios etc. or via the "connect now" button through which they can join the general requests queue and any available listeners can accept the chat.
Listeners can still decide if they can support a particular topic or not, and truthfully mention it to the member, in any case they aren't able to commit to the support arrangement as well as encourage the member to reach out to someone else.
There isn't a way to browse member profiles for listeners or fellow members for that matter, similar to the list of listeners in the "browse for listeners" page (one can look for a particular profile by searching any cupser using 7cups.com/@Username however).
Listeners can reach out to members as well, certainly, if requested/ mentioned by the members.
For instance, many members make posts in the forums mentioning what they are struggling with and what they need support with, listener preferences etc.
This thread for example, (https://www.7cups.com/forum/generalsupport/Classifieds_360/MembersClassifieds_19581/) is a bit quiet lately but the members could create posts mentioning what they need support with and invite listeners to message them for it, if they can!

It is understandable how text based support may not suit everyone, however that is the only option available currently for listener-member interaction on 7 cups. And off site contact of any kind isn't allowed, as per the community guidelines (clickable).
