Should I be public?
Im thinking of making my social media accounts public but I dont want my ex to interact. Should I make them public or wait a little bit? Ive been waiting for 2 or 3 weeks already.
@guff05
Hey Guff. For internet safety, it is recommended that social media accounts remain private and that the only people who see the stuff that you post are people you have approved to be on there.
@guff05
Well met guff, if I may, I would suggest exploring whether your social media accounts have the ability to block individual users and exclude them from your feed. If not, look for social media platforms that do offer this facility and invite your friends to join you there.

D.
@guff05 Hello guff. I think since you have waited for 2 or 3 weeks, you might feel a bit anxious from your ex following on you on social media which is completely valid for you to feel that way. Which is why, i want to support your suggestion if this is what you desire. Now if you do make it public, you need to consider the option of that happening. And in order to solve this, before you make it public, check if you have block button for the unwanted people just in case, to protect your details and information. If you need anything else, do reach out, we are here for you.
I think that usually it's best to either have only a private account, or to have both a private and public account for this purpose
@guff05 How does it make you feel? Do you think that making those accounts public will cause you anxiety, distress, etc., while they are up? If so, I would advise against it.
I made it public this week and they stopped interacting so its all good 👍
@guff05 I am glad it worked well with you, if anything else pops up related to this, we are here for you.

Well met Guff,
I applaud your courage. It's often been said that "true" friends are the ones that stick by you through thick and thin, who will defend you when your back's to the wall, who will share in both triumphs and losses.
The trick, as I have found, is knowing which side your " friends are on and keeping true friends close while dispensing with those friendships that were toxic.
Congratulations on your new found clarity.
Namaste,
D.
