Sometimes I feel like I don’t matter as much as others...🌿
Hi everyone 🌿
I wanted to share a small thought… something that many of us might have felt quietly, but don’t always say out loud.
Sometimes, it feels like we matter a little less…
Like others are more important, more noticed, more valued.
It’s not always something big.
Sometimes it’s just small moments…
being left out of a conversation,
not being asked how we are,
or feeling like our presence doesn’t really make a difference.
Sometimes it’s also in the little silences…
when we’re around people but still feel unseen,
or when we want to say something but hold it back.
And slowly, that feeling sits inside…
making us wonder,
“Do I really matter as much?”
It can feel a little heavy to carry this, especially when we don’t talk about it. And sometimes we don’t even realize when this feeling started… it just quietly becomes a part of us.
But if you’ve ever felt this way, please know… you’re not alone in it 🤍
🌱 Participation Questions:
Have you ever felt like you matter a little less than others sometimes?
What thoughts usually come to your mind in those moments?
Has anyone ever made you feel truly valued or seen? What did they do differently?
What is one small thing that helps you feel even a little more important or heard?
✨ A gentle reminder:
Your presence matters more than you think.
Even if it doesn’t always feel visible, it doesn’t make it any less real.
And if you ever feel like sharing what’s on your mind, you can do it here… or with me or any listener you feel comfortable with. Take it at your own pace 🌼

A great question 💙
I've often felt unseen, because mostly in my large family, I'm the one whose there for everyone.
I don't tend to ask for too much for myself.
I'm independent.
And get things done, so because I don't make a fuss, sometimes people just assume you are fine, without asking.
It can be tiring at times and sometimes you just want someone to say, how was your day?
What makes me feel seen, is a simple, how are you, and how do you feel today? 💙
Here at cups so many people make me feel seen by their kindness and genuine nature 💙
@Amanda84,
I can really relate to what you shared… sometimes the people who are always there for others are the ones who get asked the least.
When you handle everything quietly and don’t make a fuss, people just assume you’re okay… but they don’t always see the effort behind it. That can feel a little tiring inside.
And what you said is so simple but so true… sometimes just a “how was your day?” can mean so much.
It’s really nice to hear that you feel seen here… you deserve that kind of care and attention too, not just give it to others.
Take care of yourself also in between everything 🤍

@Amandame....I feel the same way too sometimes it's very annoying Especially when I'm asking how the person is And sometimes I just kind of talking they're not even listening to what I am saying they're just talking about themselves and after a while it's pretty tiring I just end the conversation right there or I'll just talk over them because like I need to be heard too Or sometimes I feel like you know I have to be heard too and if certain people just don't wanna hear Or sometimes I feel like you know I have to be heard too and if certain people just don't want to hear me or I feel like r what was bothering me and I know that And that's annoying and then I'll just have to I just end up talking to someone else about it and that person will be left out because I have to do this if they're not really listening to me
@sensibleDime4733
You do deserve to be listened to as well and if not, I wouldn't put the same energy in 💙
Have you ever felt like you matter a little less than others sometimes?
Quite a bit actually. I'm the one who does for others, it's usually not reciprocated.
What thoughts usually come to your mind in those moments?
That my worth is in what I do for others. If I can't or won't do something for someone my value ceases.
Has anyone ever made you feel truly valued or seen? What did they do differently? I don't know, I don't think so. If someone did, it's been long enough that I don't remember.
What is one small thing that helps you feel even a little more important or heard?
Conversation that doesn't turn into a comparison or competition. A conversation where someone doesn't tell me I shouldn't feel the way I do. A conversation where there's feedback not just nods or silence.

Thank you for sharing.
Sometimes, I feel the same, with my friends or my family.
It feels quite sad for it, and I have not really found what makes me truly valued.
Because everyone has personal issues and attention on their life.
I understand that, so I started to learn to take care of my emotions more.
After all, the person who should care about us the most is ourselves.
