Sometimes we miss the old version of ourselves…🌿

Hi everyone 🌿

I wanted to share a small thought… something many of us might have felt quietly.

Sometimes, we look at ourselves and feel like we’ve changed…
not in a bad way always,
but just… different.

Maybe a little more quiet,
a little more careful,
a little less open than before.

And sometimes, we miss who we used to be.

The version of us that laughed more easily…
trusted more freely…
didn’t overthink this much…
and didn’t feel this heavy inside.

Life changes us slowly.
Through experiences, through people, through moments we didn’t expect.

And somewhere along the way,
we become a version of ourselves we didn’t really plan for.

It can feel confusing sometimes…
like, “Where did that version of me go?”

But maybe… that version is not gone.
Maybe it’s just resting somewhere inside us,
waiting for the right space to feel safe again.

If you’ve ever felt like this, you’re not alone in it 🤍

🌱 Participation Questions:

Have you ever missed the old version of yourself?

What do you think has changed the most in you over time?

Is there something from your old self that you wish to bring back?

What helps you feel a little more like yourself again?

✨ A gentle reminder:
It’s okay to change.
It’s okay to grow.

And it’s also okay to miss who you once were.

All versions of you are still a part of your story…
and they all matter 🌼

Have you ever missed the old version of yourself?

change happens over time and while I miss the version I remember I am not sure at what point in change that was.

What do you think has changed the most in you over time?

my view of others I am not as trusting and open too many fake people who only want things from others.

Is there something from your old self that you wish to bring back?

my energy and drive has lessened need more motivation at this point.

What helps you feel a little more like yourself again?

sometimes small wins or break throughs remind me maybe part of old self is lurking under surface

@toughTiger6481,

Thank you for sharing this… it felt very real to read 🌿

The way you said you don’t even know when the change happened… that part really stayed with me. Sometimes life changes us so quietly that we only realise it later.

And what you shared about trusting less… I can understand that. When people are not genuine, it slowly makes us hold back, even if that’s not who we were before.

I also felt what you said about energy and motivation… that can feel really heavy sometimes.

But the part about small wins… that felt hopeful. Like somewhere inside, that version of you is still there, just waiting for the right moments to come out again.

Maybe it’s not gone… just a little hidden for now 🤍

Really glad you shared this 🌼

@trueconfidant123,

Thank you for sharing this 🌿

I understand what you mean about not feeling as happy as before. Sometimes that shift happens slowly, and we don’t really notice it until later.

The part about fearing growing up also makes sense. It can feel a bit unsettling when you think about time moving forward like that.

And your point about your “aura” was interesting… it sounds like you’re missing that natural ease or presence you had earlier.

It’s good that focusing and staying grounded helps you reconnect, even a little. That probably says that part of you is still there.

Appreciate you sharing this.

I do miss my old bubbly self. I should stop feeling older when I'm actually not lol. Thank you for summarising my pointers.

A beautiful question 💛

I have recently found my old self and I'm glad.

Bullying left me doubtful.

Unsure.

Untrusting.

Quiet.

Afraid.

Not trusting my own instincts.

But with time and healing, I'm back to being loud, opinionated, bubbly, spontaneous and just letting myself breathe and have fun and leave the past where it belongs, these bullies don't define me, I do 🩷🤗

@Amanda84,

This was really beautiful to read… thank you for sharing this 🌿

The way you described your journey… from feeling doubtful, quiet, and unsure… to finding your voice again, that takes a lot of strength.

What you said about not letting those experiences define you… that really stood out. It’s not easy to come back from something like that and still choose to be open, expressive, and yourself again.

I’m really glad you found your way back to that version of you… loud, bubbly, and free. That sounds like a very genuine and alive version of yourself 🤍

Thank you for sharing this… it brings a lot of hope to this space 🌼
