Thought provoking question 🌘
What’s one thing about your mental health journey that you wish you could explain to someone who doesn’t understand it?
@Priscella
That I'm not complicated- you're just not paying attention.
@Priscella it's impossible for me not to be jumpy, don't take it personally.
I just wish I can talk to my dad about it without him thinking that it's something I can just "get over"
@Tonytsimmons95 yeh I don't know why most parents always do that maybe you could talk to someone you know wont say that (ex.grandma,aunt,uncle,cousin,bff)
@Priscella
❞the mind is an ocean, and some waves rise without warning i do not summon them, nor can i silence them at will. to navigate is not to command the sea, but to learn its rhythm, to endure its tempests, and to find meaning even in the storm
That was sooo beautiful librarian!!
@Priscella that im not as aggresive as people seem to think, which has gotten me in horrible trouble.
That people need time and a lot of patience, and most people don’t actually understand how you really feel
trauma is different for everyone, the body chooses what is trauma not the individual deciding to be offended.
@prettybuzz
Very well put! Thank you!
PTSD, major depression, anxiety, shizo
@Priscella I have problems communicating with my partner. He’s half my age and very much in touch with his felling. His feelings feel like personal attacks and I don’t know how to change that. I don’t know how to cope with being bombarded with his feelings. I don’t know how much more I can take.
That I don't "hate" my mom for the way she is/was, that I realize that she was born with certain mental/physical challenges and I just happened to have been paired with her for this life as her child. And that is why I am now working so hard to understand the whole mess of my childhood and to come to a peaceful place for both of us to spend the autumn and December of our lives.
