Using dreams to reflect
I've been taking time to reflect on my dreams a lot recently. My dreams are often bad. I used to just ignore my dreams and jump out of bed, trying to ignore how the dreams made me feel and just get on with my day.
These days I'm listening to them more. In my dreams I'm always trying and trying but I never get anywhere. People reject me and I can't follow simple instructions or solve problems. I'm lost a lot.
Now I'm listening to myself I feel sad, my subconscious had a lot to tell me about how I'm really feeling...I'm hoping by listening instead of ignoring it, it will slowly improve.
Does anyone else do dream work of some kind? Has it helped?

That's really interesting.
I never remember my dreams but always how they make me feel.
I'm sorry they are causing you so much distress.
Our subconscious mind, relating our fears to us.

Sorry I don't do dream work as such. I just know when I have nightmares, it's because of stress that I'm not dealing with so I try to pinpoint and deal with 1 item at a time, so it's manageable.
My dreams have always been like HD blockbuster movies, detailed and realistic. What I do is a lot silly, but I listen to party music for a bit to calm me down, it's like happy music to me and then I switch to asmr sound effects like rainfall and I can drift back off to sleep with a plan in mind, to deal with it in the morning :)
@TaoistDragon88 I'm sorry you're feeling this way. I haven't given this much thought before, but it's very interesting perspective.
Thank you for sharing this 🤍 Sending lots of love to you! ❤️❤️
I was guided by Jungian theory, and I'm reading a book by Toko-Pa Turner they both talk a lot about the subconscious talking through dreams but I haven't met anyone irl that talks about it.
I only found out about it myself recently, but it is making an impact to listen instead of trying to ignore it!
