Viva la Vida!!

There is a beautiful Spanish phrase..

Viva La Vida.

It meansLong live life.

Three words. Yet sometimes, three words are enough to remind us of something we forget while trying so hard to survive life: we are alive.

We spend so much of our lives waiting. Waiting to be happier. Waiting to be successful. Waiting to heal. Waiting to find our people. Waiting for the right morning, the right opportunity, the right version of ourselves.

We keep telling ourselves, “Someday, I'll finally start living.”

But what if someday isn't a place we eventually arrive at? What if life is already happening in the middle of all this?

In the morning light falling across your room. In the first sip of something warm. In a song that understands you better than words can. In the friend who makes you laugh when you thought you couldn't. In the quiet moment when you realise you've made it through another difficult day.

These moments look ordinary while we're living them. Yet some of the moments we would one day give anything to experience again are the very moments we barely notice.

Maybe happiness was never supposed to be one enormous, permanent feeling. Maybe it was always hiding in fragments.

And perhaps mental health is partly about learning to notice those fragments again.

Because when we're struggling, the mind can become very convincing. It can tell us that today will last forever, that one rejection defines us, that one mistake ruined everything, that loneliness means we'll always be alone.

But not being able to see the light from where you are standing does not mean the light isn't there.

Our feelings are real, but feelings are not always forecasts. A difficult day is not a prediction of every day that follows. A painful chapter is not the whole book. And a version of you that is struggling is not a failed version of you.

Sometimes, you're simply a human being carrying more than anyone else can see and you deserve kindness while carrying it.

You don't need to earn rest. You don't need to be productive to have worth. You don't have to be cheerful every day to be grateful for your life.

You can be tired and hopeful. You can be healing and still have bad days. You can be grateful and still struggle. Two truths can exist at the same time.

And maybe that's one of the most beautiful things about being human: we are constantly becoming.

The person you are today is not the final draft. You're allowed to change your mind, outgrow places, learn, begin again, ask for help, and become softer after being hurt instead of harder.

Sometimes strength doesn't look like standing alone. Sometimes strength sounds like, “Can you stay with me for a little while?”

You don't have to have your entire future figured out to deserve a future.

You don't need a five-year plan to take another step.

You don't need to know where the road ends.

You only need enough courage for the next few steps.

Life has a strange habit of introducing us to beautiful things we could never have planned people we never expected to meet, places we never thought we'd visit, dreams we didn't know we'd have, and versions of ourselves we hadn't imagined.

Sometimes the life we're desperately trying to return to isn't the life we're meant to have anymore.

Sometimes something new is waiting not necessarily something bigger, just something quieter, more honest, something that finally feels like home.

So don't measure your life only by achievements.

Measure it by moments.

By the laughter that made your stomach hurt.

By the people who felt like sunlight.

By the courage it took to begin again.

By every time you chose kindness.

By every little thing that made you think, “I'm glad I was here for this.”

And if you're reading this on a difficult day, don't demand happiness from yourself.

Just give yourself possibility.🌻

Leave a little room for tomorrow to be different. For a conversation that changes something.

A song that finds you at the right moment.

A friendship you haven't made yet.

A dream you haven't discovered.

A version of yourself you haven't met.

Because the story is still moving.

The page you're on is not the final page.

Perhaps that is what Viva La Vida means to me.

Not “life will always be wonderful.” Not “ignore the difficult things.” Not “be positive all the time.”

But simply

Life is precious because it is imperfect.

It is fragile, unpredictable, complicated and still, there are flowers growing through cracks in the pavement.

Stars appearing every night.

People choosing kindness.

Strangers helping strangers.

Hearts healing quietly.

People beginning again at ages they never expected.

And there is you...

still becoming,

still learning,

still capable of discovering something beautiful you haven't seen yet.

So breathe.

Look around.

Notice the little things. Call someone you love. Let yourself rest.

Laugh without guilt. Cry without calling yourself weak.

Ask for help when you need it.

Celebrate tiny victories.

And when life feels like too much, don't ask yourself to carry the whole future.

Just carry this moment.

Then the next.

Then the next.

Until one day you look back and realise you weren't standing still.

You were healing.

You were growing.

You were becoming.

You were living.

So here's to every imperfect morning, every second chance, every quiet victory, every heart learning to trust life again.

Here's to the days we haven't lived yet.

The laughter we haven't heard.

The people we haven't met.

The places we haven't seen.

The memories that haven't happened.

Viva La Vida.

Not because life is always easy. Not because pain doesn't exist.

But because life is still full of possibility.

And sometimes, the most beautiful thing we can do is give tomorrow the chance to surprise us.

Long live life. 🌱✨

May we learn, slowly and gently, not just to survive it..

but to notice it.

To feel it.

To be present for it.

To love the little pieces of it.

To live it.

I love the words . they are life facts coated with truth and reality with the two truths can exist at a time and especially not to measure our life by achievements alone , more to write out but is all good

Thanks for this 😊

That means so much to me, thank you! I’m really glad the words resonated with you. And yes, I truly believe two truths can exist at the same time we don’t always have to choose one perspective over another. Life is so much more than the achievements we can measure. 💛
