Wannabe
I wanna feel like myself
Without fighting impulse to mask the pain and anxiety.
I just want to have time where I'm not hyper focused on battling these things and enjoying life, for real.
@NewHorizon5544 you deserve to feel like yourself and enjoy life rather than just survive the days as they come 💕 do you have any ideas or something you've tried that helps feel good to you?
@optimisticempath,
I would honestly love a good friend to confide in. It's just not easy meeting people right now.
@NewHorizon5544 im happy to support you too :) how was your day?
@Optimisticempath
I am late replying, so sorry! I am doing okay! How are you? :)
@NewHorizon5544 it's ok to reply when you can <3 I'm doing okay too I guess, thanks
hope you have a good rest of your week.
@NewHorizon5544 ,
I understand you horizon. It is exhausting to play different roles in life perfectly when you are going to tough days. It's disheartening that you have to put on a smile when you aren't okay. It's disappointing to realise that many people around us couldnt look through our facades and see that we are troubled. Been there myself. You know I can't solve your issues. But if you will allow me , I would certainly be willing to stand by in it with you. please know that you will always be welcomed if you ever want me to be there for you when you need to share your thoughts. Take care
Thank you for your kind words ! I would love to talk sometimes.
@NewHorizon5544
I would love that too Horizon. 😄
@NewHorizon5544
I am inviting you to join me in the Sharing Circle chat room ! 😊
Me too :/ thanks for sharing this post. I feel less alone. It seems like such a fine line to walk; to be positive, health conscious and with boundaries and also while able to hold all emotions and situations. I'm on year 'who knows' of working on this, and with added griefs and losses changing me, as well as age, it is quite intense. I have been through things I still need to process, while still surviving in a world that is still chaotic and not evolved. It is a big ask and the tools we pick up and use along the way to create this artwork that is our lives is a huge joy sometimes. Other times it is, how do I say...a bit of a drudge. That drudge becomes more manageable with time though...we begin to adapt to hardship, knowing we've been there and survived, and that adaptation opens us to receiving more good, as there's more energy available for it. Sure seems like a *** journey that loves to kick one when they're down sometimes though...and those places suck us into this whirlpool or gravitational pull that is exhausting to work out. Especially if we feel the pull to help others while WE drown. Then that can create such a mess...and other brushstrokes like assertive communication, confidence, self esteem vs self compassion are all vying for attention, demanding their place on our canvas, while we are still processing how to draw a *** stick person. Honestly. Anyway. I'm meditating a lot and opening up to others and learning to let myself feel without judgement in some modern day love story with myself as both Mr. Darcy and Ms. Bennet. Only with less balls and more Oreos. Reading in a cafe or people watching while ensconced in a cafe has been my winter solace...and noise cancelling headphones and organic pink noise while at home as I'm in an apartment complex...my actual nightmare.

To feel like one's true self. To not have to fight the desire to cover the pain and fear. To enjoy life to the fullest extent possible, for there is great joy available.
Healing is possible. I've seen other people who have done ut. One doesn't have to be a victim forever. By PM, I'd be interested in discussing what tools you (or anyone) has found.
I need help, my heart is aching. I’m crying. I don’t know why I feel this way. Even though I already talked about it. I like to be alone a lot and I think that’s what hurt me. I wish I wasn’t in need for human connection but the reality is I do. Humans are social. I don’t know. I guess I just need someone to talk to. Childhood trauma , mental abuse, physical abuse, family, work, triggers, these things are all affecting me. I’m depressed and it sucks.

I am sorry I am so late seeing your reply here! I am sorry to hear about what you're going through.
Have you tried to talk to anyone about things, like a counselor or therapist?
Also, you are so right that we need human interaction (even virtual ). Perhaps looking for a support group or hobby group or even places like 7cups - the group chats can be so good for just talking and even having some light hearted conversations and laughs!
I am here for you, so many others here are as well. Even if we're not physically able to be there we are rooting for you and this is a great place to come and talk.
Hope you're doing well today!
