What's wrong with me?

I came home to my dad drunk (this is often), I offered to make dinner for him to get him in a better mood for the day. He got mad and yelled at me, he said he hated me and wanted me dead, he threw a bottle at my head. What did I do wrong?

@DarkShadow420 you didn't do anything wrong, your father's abusive problems are all on him not you. I'm not sure what to say. I'm kinda worried about your safety rn😥 gives you a giant tiny hug ❤ please be safe

Hi, Shadow,

In the sentences you wrote, you didn't do anything wrong. Your father did everything wrong. Something has to change in that situation. Can you move away from him? How does he act when he is sober? Is he ever sober? He has to stop drinking but that is not up to us. That is important. All we can do is control ourselves. You have to make yourself safe.

I've tried to move away or even run away, but he called the cops and they returned me there, When he isn't drunk, he's either out at some casino or passed out

@DarkShadow420

If you are of legal age, the police can't return you to your father. You need to talk to the police to see what help they can offer you to get away from your father.

@Bazzust0

I could never move the liquor, he would notice and automatically blame me, even if it really wasn't me he would still get mad at me, and I'm sorry you can relate, I hope everything turns out okay with you *hug*

It wasn’t your fault. Your father was definitely in the wrong here and I think you should talk to him about getting drunk less often so this doesn’t happen again. Hope everything goes well and that you’re recovering okay.
