Who am I?

I am having a bit of an emotional crisis at the moment! I have suffered from imposter syndrome for a long time, but it has recently ramped up to a ridiculous level. I am struggling because I feel I have lost what makes me ‘me’ when I am not hiding behind a mask of my job, being a mum or a wife.

Any ideas on how to navigate my existential crisis would be gratefully received

I found my identity in God, how he sees me, is who I really am. That is why I am so happy and changed nowadays.

I had those identity and soul deep core breakdown, issues... I was a shell basically.... I would say... just start searching for the answers to life and for who you are? And just be authentic... dont be afraid and say the words that are true to you, do the things that are true to you... be you... small steps. and dont adjust yourself to people trying to please them.

A common enough problem for those of us in this stage of life.

In my opinion you never stopped being you. You just never completed the process of integrating all of these newer parts of you (being an employee, a wife, and a mom) that have to coexist both with each other and with who you already were.

My question would be, why put this extra pressure on yourself? You are exactly who you need to be for yourself and for your family every day. Where is it written that you must maintain "who you are" at all times, when whatever that definition might be is constantly changing and adapting?

Good luck, stay strong, love is all.
