Why do I still feel sad when a goodbye happens even though I already saw it coming way far before it actually happened?
I know that person will leave, but when that person really leaves, I still feel surprised and sad.
I never asked "why?" to those who stopped being my friends because I think they have the right to do so, and I'm afraid if I asked, then I'll just make it more awkward. (I'm also afraid of being ignored that's why I decided to not ask😭)
But sometimes I also regret not asking them, like maybe I should've asked. Maybe it'd be different if I asked why they're drifting away.. How do you guys deal with this feeling?
thanks before 🙏🧡
I see it in a way like we’re all passengers on a train. Every friend we meet boards at different stations, and while they’re with us, we share laughs, memories, and parts of our stories that feels like would stay forever.
But just like us, they have their own destinations. And when their stop comes, we can’t hold them back... we have to let them step off the train… into their own journey.
It feels bad... but maybe that's the beauty of it, We had our times together and made awesome memories and some of them would probably stay with us forever ❤️
@fossilfellow 🥲 this hits deep. It makes sense that you pictured it that way, thank you for sharing your opinion with me. It's really saddening to lose a friend but then realized it has to happen 😞
@fossilfellow this is a rather lovely metaphor fossil - thank you.
