anyone want to give this a shot

Can anyone clue me in, why in the 35+ forum, I am experiencing my threads being deleted with out notice or the chance to edit or fix the problem. My newest thread in there was deleted before I could read any comment.

I tried asking this same question in the same area and then my question was deleted, is this the norm now, to just not give a reason for a deletion nor give someone the chance to edit out what ever the grievance is. yet for some reason, there is a section about cursing the forums and that for some reason cursing in some forums is allowed but not in others and it all just depends on the context. I literally did nothing no said anything to provoke anyone other than I guess whoever was offended and removed the threads in question.

If anything I am just wanting to see if I can get a response here and or see if this gets deleted as well, fyi to whomever is deleting, the admin or staff let me back on the website/ forum, I did not circumvent anything; if that is the thinking as to why my posts should be deleted.

If the moderator of a form does not give someone the chance to correct a mistake or inform the person of the infraction, how does one expect the person to not make the same mistake again.

@TheBestScreenName I am not involved, but my understanding is that the current norm is for threads to be deleted without warning, when necessary, and then you get a notification telling you why the thread was deleted. The notification process might involve a delay.

I have received notifications when a thread I replied to was deleted, so the system definitely works sometimes.

So I suggest you wait a few days to see whether you get a delayed notification. If there's nothing, then reach out to admins again about the issue.

@TheBestScreenName I am not sure what happened, there is a policy in place to notify people, but some things do not require the user to be notified. I thought this was working pretty well, I don't know what happened in your situation. The policy is here https://www.7cups.com/forum/7CupsLeadership_188/General_2420/NewForumModerationPolicy2023UpdatedRepost_296651/

You can email forum@7cups to ask about anything that was deleted.

@AffyAvo

Thank you, I actually took the time to read that link, and I was given no reason whatsoever, I didn't violate any rules, my thread was just deleted along with the subsequent asking the community for clarification, and I was thusly banned, I sent in a message to forum@7cups about the ban and thread deletions and bloop, now I am back and the threads are gone, which is fine, someone obviously was not adhering to the guidelines in that link in regard to deleting or modifying a thread, as if they had, I would not have posted other threads asking for help in explaining things.

Water under the bridge, I just found it a bit annoying, and uncalled for.

There is a glitch in the software that runs this platform, that deletes threads at random.

I have verified this and reported it to the Forum Functionality thread (the place to report bugs in the Forums): https://www.7cups.com/forum/SiteUpdates_100/Feedback_37/ForumFunctionalityProvideFeedbackHere_274852/

The disappearing threads I identified were not triggering, nor had any controversial content. Just average, informative content. So it is highly improbable that people with moderation powers (who are experienced and knowledgeable about the Guidelines) had touched them. I was the community forum moderator at that time. The original posters were not informed, as the rules mandate, nor was I.

This problem is still going on. Threads continue to get deleted mysteriously and randomly. The problem was not fixed so far.

Threads might be deleted by forum moderators only in clear and severe contradiction with the Guidelines. And then the poster be informed (unless the post content is extreme, like racist or sexist innuendo)

This is the current policy, explained in detail:
https://www.7cups.com/forum/7CupsLeadership_188/General_2420/NewForumModerationPolicy2023UpdatedRepost_296651/

To report any issue like undeserved deletion of your post or thread, and ask for an explanation, you can send a message from here: https://www.7cups.com/@7cupsForums or an email to this address: forum@7cups.com

Also as I stated earlier, I am over it, so may this thread be randomly by a glitch deleted or be locked, I wasn't looking for any more explanations.

I have unsubscribed from this thread, I won't be back.
