better habits? help?
I am posting here cuz I don't know of a better form for this.
I am a introvert so I lose energy when being around others, when my battery gets over drained with to much people and I get home I go to different bad habits, to try and destress and catch up mentally.
So I wanted to know if y'all have good habits or advice for things I can do when my mind is numb from to much people? Any advise welcome, thank you for taking the time to read. Stay safe guys. 🩵
@7Bear7 my tips:
I can be introverted too and it can be hard to be around people.
Say no when you need to.
Preserve your energy.
Find healthier self care techniques to help you decompress.
Don't be too hard on yourself.
Don't cut people off completely or is harder to be around them.
Just be you, that's enough.
Listen to music.
Exercise.
Don't us destructive habits to hide from processing feelings.
Genuinely wishing you the best 💜🥰
@Amanda84
Thank you Amanda, stay safe and secure out there. 🩵
@7Bear7
It could be a challenge, but I'll try my best 😁
@7Bear7
I've been Introverted all my life (61yr old) No real true friends at this point in my life. 🥺
As Amanda said, Music and exercise are my go to as well, to unwind and I also go for a walk.
Hope you find a habit or two that work for you.
Im lying down in my bed, exhausted from all the chaos of the day, while my siblings and niblings continue to chat and laugh together.
I simply don't have the energy.
I prefer writing to someone here - sharing something subtly and softly. I can't handle noise. I was wondering if there is something wrong with me when I came across your post.
Why does my body fall into such deep stress on these basic things of life? Whereas others are going about so much socialising and feeling totally fine.
Where am I meant to belong? Always with myself?
I like my peace.... dont get me wrong....but why cant I be at peace with others as well?
I mean its not always bad.... just I cant go on for too long.... have i aged early? Im 38 but my energy is worse than a 60 year old.
So with all this what advice can I give you? Hehe. But yeah i just feel happy hanging out with myself - doing simple stuff like showering, walking, reading .... there is peace
@7Bear7
@Creamyyy there's nothing wrong with you sweetie 💖 it's good to be around people but it's also ok to enjoy alone time 💖💖 I love my alone time 💖
@Creamyyy
Thank you very much for your reply, it nice to see we're not alone in this. I don't think anything is wrong with you, it seems you probably lose energy in a social situation and gain it back when alone. That's how I have seen introverts and extroverts described, introverts get energy alone and lose it with other, and extraverts get energy with others and lose it alone. Of course everyone has a different sized battery and charges or consumes at a different pace, but I think the principle can be applied to everyone.
Once again thank you for your reply, I'll be going back over them all semi regular to try peoples advice. Stay zafe out there! 🩵
Sorry i was supposed to give you some tips or support . And I ended up just sharing my own sob story.
I dont think its something so simple as being introvert or extrovert. I think there is lack of acceptance for each other and insufficient social skills .... that makes people withdraw.... things like that.
@7Bear7
@7Bear7 hugs my special little bear 💖 when you've had enough of the world and people for the day, then it's important to do things just for you 💗 music, candles, mood lights get in to your pjs and have a hot drink, that's what unwinds me the best💖 also just chilling in the garden 😁 people have given you some great tips here, I hope you find one that helps you best 💖 gives you a giant tiny hug 💗 I love you 💗
@Tinywhisper11

@7Bear7 💖💖💖💖
@7Bear7 totally relate to this. i shut down after too much people-ing too. what helps me is low-effort stuff like going on a walk with music or journaling without pressure to make sense. also tea. always tea lol. hope you find your calm again soon.
@WildBloomv what kind of tea? I am getting bored of mine and spreading out so new ideas welcome please.
@CocoaCassie i’m really into oolong, spearmint, and licorice root right before bed (it’s nasty, but healing and great for sleep)
@WildBloom
Thank you! Tea is smart, I only have enjoyed a few hot ones, do you have any recommendations on types of tea? Stay safe! 🩵
@7Bear7 I am into fruit teas right now, and I blend my own by mixing teabags with mint lol.
