new environment, no friends

i recently moved to a new university and today's our first day of classes, and all we did was an orientation. i badly wanted to talk to my block/classmates so bad but i just couldnt. my close friend from my past school (who also moved into this university) was just so jolly; i saw her *** stories and she was all about having fun. she even was able to eat out with her classmates. ugh i want to be close to my classmates so bad. i did try and chat or communicate with them but i still feel like an outcast. idk how ppl like my friend manage to get close to a group of ppl immediately. i don't want to become a loner like how i was during my first year in highschool 😪

I know you struggled in highschool and that hurts still 💛

Don't let it influence now.

Today was only the first day.

Give  yourself time to get acquainted 💛

Moving to a new university (new environment) can feel really overwhelming. It makes sense that things can feel awkward, those first interactions often do 💙. In the beginning, everyone is trying to find their footing. There are so many students around you who are also hoping to make friends and connect in the same way you are.

I hear how tough high school was for you, and how much you want things to feel different this time. The good thing is that the year is still just beginning. You have time to settle in, meet people at your own pace, and let things unfold naturally. A tip that helped me in secondary education: Join clubs that your interested in. It'll be easier to join a crowd, with similar interests 💙.

Knowing and noticing that there someone classmates that enjoy being near your old student is good news to hear, these can still become closer to you and end up enjoying the new environment..

Hearing that your friend gets closer to friends so easily is good news ,you can't be a loner because your friend has you so can automatically connect you people no worries
