What Motivates You?

What motivates you? Is it the promise of a reward, the threatening that you'll be punished if you don't do so-and-so, or the fact that you genuinely enjoy what you're doing? Is it something specific, like puppy gifs, or anything in general, like motivational penguins? Do you get motivated suddenly, or does it take time?
