Doctor referal for mental health

I've struggled with various mental health issues for around 2+ years now. (self harm, intimacy issues due to bad experiences, depresison, anxious feelings, low confidence...etc). However, recently its all got so hard to manage. I cant function, cry a lot, cant focus on anything, feel disconnected and selfharm urges are creeping back too, along with passive suicidal thoughts...

Anywayy...

i have gone to the doctors in desperation (mainstream services were never too popular with my family) and have been urgently referred to CAMHS (Child and adolecant mental health services). Im so scared and honestly freaking out about this whole process. i feel so out of control and have no idea how long the waiting list for this referral will be. :(

Any tips/advice/personal experiences with CAMHS??

Would be appreciated. - Peachxox

I see this is about a couple weeks old. Have you gotten your appt. yet? I understand some of the feelings youre going through, but ive only been dealing with mine since last summer. Things can definitely improve for you. Stay strong and dont ever give in to your self harm and suicidal thoughts. Im sure there are people that love and care about you. I can honestly say that i wouldnt like to learn that you harmed yourself in any way. I can say that one of the things that helped me was to talk about these things.
