Here in the UK it is Mental Health Awareness Week! I don't know if this is universal, but I do know that many charities, the BPS, universities, health sectors, etc., are promoting it a lot via twitter.

So I've attached the 7 cups of tea hashtag to my tweets to spread the word of our community and help those that may come across my tweets. The theme for the week is Anxiety, so hopefully this will raise awareness of the varying degrees of anxiety disorders that are out there and lessen the stigma a little!

That's a great thing to spread the awareness, exohKim! Thank you!

Thanks ExohKim, I didn't know that and I'm in the UK , maybe we could contact some of the mental health charities (if we have not already) , I'm thinking 'mind','sane' ,'calm' ect and let them know more about 7 cups of tea.

I had the same idea a few weeks ago, Miracle!I got speaking to someone from Papyrus (a suicide prevention charity for young people/under 35s in the UK) and it eventually ended up with Glen speaking to them and creating some sort of collaboration between us and them, which was fantastic to hear. They'll be listed as one of the suicide referral resources during chats for us now (or in the near future),too.

Having gone through mental health difficulties myself, I wish I had known about 7 cups earlier, or learnt about it through my university's mental health team. What I love about being here is how encouraging Glen and others are in sharing what we do with other charities, mental health support services, colleges, etc, and I definitely think it's worth reaching out to the other charities we have here in the UK. Mind and Rethink are the main ones I know about, but there are so many smaller charities, too.

I'll continue to tweet every now and then, and also reaching out to other services that may lead to future collaborations with us because I think we're a great service to offer and I just want to be there for as many people as I can.
