Sharing Positivity: Week 1!
Hi, everyone!
General Support is starting with a new subforum: Sharing Positivity. Every week on Friday, come here to share something you accomplished this week — it could be as simple as getting out of bed or convincing yourself to eat.
We want to start this sub-forum because it is crucial to remind ourselves of our accomplishments. We tend to focus more on what we didn't do and compare ourselves to others when, in reality, we should be focusing more on our personal growth.

I'll go first! I'm proud of the fact that I reached out to a few friends to ask them to collaborate with me on a project I've been wanting to work on. They said yes, so I'm so stoked! :)

That is great that you were able to reach out and achieve what you wanted. I do at times reach out but I am easy to feel incapable to complete the job when I can't understand how to fix it. I feel people don't have the time to really spend to show you what they want you to do it is just expected that you know.

Thank you, Scarlet :) That can happen, and it is tough to deal with. You'd be surprised at how warm some people can be, though. Not all of them, but if you take a chance, maybe you'd find someone who listens ❤️
I finally got an appointment with a therapist. It’s been hard finding someone with availability that takes my insurance, so I have something to look forward to this week.
God will not leave us to fight our battles alone 🙏

I survived an emergency c section! None of us 3 should be here, yet we are! We found courage and strength and we're put together by a great team of doctors that REFUSED to give up on us. . Even when hope itself was lost! Never give up the good fight, even to the very end, there's no telling what could be waiting! We are SURVIVORS!

This is a great idea. It's one of my goals to highlight the positive more but its hard to remember, so any reminder is very welcome.
Recently I discovered a, what shall we call it?, motto? for myself. Do it different. I want to change the way I relate to others, but it is so hard after 40 years of habit. I just can't find the right way to do it. And then I discovered "just do it different". It's been a game changer for me. I can walk out of a disastrous interaction and feel shit about everything that went wrong but still feel proud of myself for the one thing I did differently. Whether it worked or not no longer seems to matter so much, I broke a habit by doing something, anything, different. And, and! I found a way to feel proud of myself.
Sorry to go on a bit, but it's quite exciting to me.

I agree; spreading positivity can be hard, so we should take every chance to remind ourselves of the positive things in our lives. :)
That does sound very interesting! I'm proud of you for coming this far. Change at any age isn't easy, but it sounds like you're doing quite well ❤️
I've been eating meals. I'm proud of that.
