@IsabelleJ Finding something to be grateful for each day lets you see that things aren't as bad as you sometimes think. It is often too easy to ignore the good and focus solely on the bad. Start a diary, write down at least one thing you are grateful for each day. (personally I am using "The Happiness Planner") Focusing on things you are grateful for is an instant mood lifter :)
@GreenGarnet
This is wonderful. Being grateful allows us to focus on the positive things in life instead of the negative. Your tracking suggestion is a great idea!
I feel more positive!!

@EllieKB
Having an increased sense of appreciation and love for what you have in your life, as a result of being grateful, and tracking down what you are grateful for -- this is awesome!
@IsabelleJ ... It is extremely difficult to be worried or anxious AND grateful or thankful at the same time. So if you are feeling anxious, say to yourself, "Self, what are you thankful for, right now!?" <3 Platy
P.S. I am thankful for having food available - in my fridge and freezer, in my cupboards. And the funds to purchase more when needed.
Also ................... I
milk!
Just had to toss that in - hehe. ~ Platy
Personally, I think being grateful really makes you see life from another perspective. Sometimes you are so used to getting things for granted that you forget what the important things in life are - which also happen to be free - like hugs, love and friendship. For me, being grateful really makes me feel lucky about being alive so I can enjoy everything life gives me, although I can often feel distressed.
Having hope to keep going by recognizing that there are good things!

@IsabelleJ Hi Isabelle
All of those things you listed for sure but also another great benefit of having a gratitude attitude is seeing amazing things everywhere, not just in the extraordinary but in the everyday ordinary as well.
