Peer Appreciation Program Turning 2!
Look at this thread: Click to look at me.
The thread is the peer appreciation program that you see. Daily (yes really, it's been happening daily for almost 2 years now!), we have people at 7cups appreciating one another and the smile spreaders (the peer appreciation team) making appreciation posts in the thread!
How many smiles have we spread? How much glow has it caused? No, sorry! Can't measure it, but lotsss of it!
We continue to do this gratitude activity with your kind support and engagement, every day💛
It's a fact that gratitude makes life beautiful. A grateful heart is a beautiful heart. We see what's good in our lives and in the people in our lives and that makes that good increase day by day! Gratitude is truly a healing and growth power. Want to experience the best of joy and attract the best of days in your lives? Gratitude is the way!
As a bonus, gratitude makes us humble too. When we count our blessings, we feel grounded. We take so much indeed from our environment and we have so much to be thankful for, and so much to do in return as a small token of thanks.
Let's talk about 5 Kinds of Gratitude! Ready? Here we go:
1) Grateful to humankind: It's not difficult to see we receive so much from fellow human beings. Take the Internet, for example. We use it every day. Give a thanks to all the human beings who worked hard to make the Internet phenomenon possible! Now think of food. How many people are behind bringing a delicious meal to your plate? Farmers, shopkeepers, the cook, so many! The road you drive on, the house you live in, it's all a gift of fellow human beings to you!
What can we do in return? Serve humanity using your gifts and talents!
2) Grateful to Ancestors: Well, they produced us! Even with imperfections, they raised us! So, there is no reason why we can't be grateful to them. And look to do what little we can do for them with a good heart. 😇
3) Grateful to Nature: Do I even have to say? Nature is all-giving, please care for it!
4) Grateful to Values: Being born is nothing great, living with values is! Values tell us how to live. So it is important we feel and express gratitude towards human values and noble conduct. How do we do it? Two steps: First, make use of them to better your life and personality. Second, teach those values to those who'd like to be guided by them!
5) Grateful to Life: Without life, there wasn't an opportunity to grow through struggles and to discover oneself along the way. So, spend some time in solitude daily and talk to life! If you're religious, spend time with God, the giver of life to you.
There you are! Hope you found this reading helpful and let's continue the 7cups culture of appreciation by continuing to see the good in one another and sending our appreciations using the appreciation form.
🙏🙏😇

Thankss for sharing fristooo!!💛🥳
@Fristo Happy 2 years to the Peer Appreciation Program. It's truly one of the best things on the entire platform in my opinion. The infinite smiles given and received, love, appreciation, and over all kindness that brings everyone together-- I just love it. ♡ Big thank you to all the appreciators, smiles spreaders (past and current), and everyone beyond the scenes making this program a success! Xoxo.
@Fristo happy birthday 🎂 yaaaay! Two years of awsomeness ❤❤ congratulations fristo and smile spreaders 😃
@fristo 2 years! That is A LOT of peer appreciation. What is a metaphor that comes to mind for the work the peer appreciation crew does? I like that you said that it cannot be measured; and I'm sure that is true. I wonder if a metaphor could help us better *see* the great work being done.
Peer appreciation to me feels like a song that amplifies all of the best parts. The parts of the song that really get you and you are like - yes I love that part. It elevates and calls attention to the best parts of the song.
And I like the 5 points and it reminds me of a zooming out exercise where we can better understand that we are just one tiny part of what has been happening on the planet. I like zooming out to see myself here in this little town, then further out to the city, then state, then country, and finally the globe - 1 person in 8 billion. Then zooming out up further over all time. 1 person in an ocean of billions and billions of people. Walking, falling, struggling, making gains here and there - linked up to a current or stream of people across time trying (and often failing) to do good work. And I'm thankful to be alive and a part of this stream, even with my limitations and stumbles.
2 years a fountain of love and joy!
