Thank you-all of you !
Hey guys ! I just wanted to express my thoughts about our so precious 7 cups community.
Okay so with the introduction of cheers, badges, levels and so on, some may feel threatened by a kind of 'hierarchy' between listeners (from the most experienced to the least). Some may feel forgotten.
What is important though is to keep in mind that these levels and coins and everything are cute and fun and great but they should never make you feel bad. They just don't matter, and we're all mature enough to go beyond that.
I love that in 7cups we all know that it's not a competition. That the most experienced don't feel "superior" but they just use their experience to help others handle rough chats or learn more about active listening.
I love that in this community everyone is warmly welcomed, acknowledged and thanked for their help, and I'd like to remind you all wonderful listeners:
You are all important. You may not have enough time to spend 10 hours a week chatting. You may not have earned this or that badge, or become a group mod, or reached that level, or have x thousand cheers.
But that really doesn't matter. That doesn't make you a "less helpful" member of the community. What matters is that you've made the conscious choice of spending a bit ofyour spare time helping people who feel alone, who are lost, who need two ears and reassuring words.
Even if you've only had 3 chats.
You're that person for them. The one who has been here in rough times. You are an amazing soul and don't you forget how helpful and important you are to this community.
Lots of love :)
